The OPAC's detail page sorts by default on the *first* column in the table which displays the holdings information. If you have item-level item types, that column will be item type: http://acpl.kohalibrary.com/cgi-bin/koha/opac-detail.pl?biblionumber=42931 If not, that column will be Location. Help: examples of Koha 3 OPACs using enhanced content

Hi all, Chris and I are presenting Koha 3.2 to the NZ Library Association conference next week and I am looking for a few screen shots of OPACs which utilize enhanced content features: Google, Amazon, SOPAC2, Library Thing and Syndetics. Can anyone help me out here? Also, I'd like to be able to include screen shots from customized (rather than vanilla) OPACs in languages other than English. Any help would be gratefully accepted, Cheers Jo.

I am preparing for a one hour webinar on Open Source ILS Add-on products. By "ILS Add-on," I mean products that extend the functionality of the ILS and wish seem to fall into three main categories: discovery interface, and metasearch. If you are using, have used or have knowledge of any of the following products, I'd be much obliged if you'd tell me a bit about your experience. Like it? Love it? Using it? Know it is dead? database and library program in English and Greece?

Dear Koha Friends, Koha may be the answer to our need for an online database for a small community public library on Skopelos Island in Greece. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, but travel to the Island often and have been helping a group of local visionaries create local public libraries in Greece. I will return with more books and computers in December to begin to catalogue the collection in the Glossa/Skopelos Public Library, and to create a searchable database and online library access, as well as setup free internet acess on site. The programs we create must be available in both English and Greek, and it looks like this site will make that possible. We are excited to find something to fit our needs ... and being free makes all our volunteer hours worthwhile! Thank you. If there is anything we might need to know before we get started with this project, or someone we can contact directly as we go along, we will very much appreciate it and will shout you an ouzo when you join us on the Island! Hope everyone had a good holiday. Got a question concerning the catalog search on the OPAC. I'd like to drop the word 'Search' from the beginning of the well and change 'Go" to Search. I'm sure it's pretty obvious but I haven't figured where that is being pulled from.

First association/foundation poll results

Here are the results of the Koha Foundation Desires poll at http://doodle.com/bubb4xrqs54qgpwx More than 75% of respondants support the Koha foundation/association doing these things:- 1. ensure the ongoing shared governance of the project = 32 out of 35 = 91.43% 2. owning koha.org = 16 out of 18 = 88.89% 3. secure the Koha name = 31 out of 35 = 88.57% 4. Kaitiaki (guardianship) role = 29 out of 35 = 82.86% 5. be owner of the copyright = 27 out of 35 = 77.14% More than half want to see it do something about these six:- 6. user/developer conferences/user group meetings = 24 out of 35 = 68.57% 7. funding non sexy but highly necessary jobs such as revamping and optimising old code = 24 out of 35 = 68.57% 8. networking local associations (such as KUDOS, KohaLA) = 12 out of 18 = 66.67% 9. managed democratically by its member (Association more than Foundation) = 11 out of 18 = 61.11% 10. promote OSS solutions in libraries = 21 out of 35 = 60% 11. further development of features = 19 out of 35 = 54.29% Less than half want these five tasks:- 12. usability/ accessibilty studies = 16 out of 35 = 45.71% 13. opensearchportal for all koha installs = 12 out of 35 = 34.29% 14. translations/localisation = 10 out of 35 = 28.57% 15. provide open source solutions for all tasks a library does daily = 10 out of 35 = 28.57% 16. back up your library technically.
