Amazon cover images on OPAC, not on staff search?

Hello all We catalogue a new title, make sure that the 10 digit ISBN is in the first of the 020 fields. Often we even copy the 10 digit number from the Amazon site. After saving and indexing (Zebra) is complete, we find that the cover image appears correctly in the OPAC, but not in the results list when searching in the staff module - there we get 'no image available'. Other titles do have covers showing. I have Googled this and not found any references to this specific issue. Can anyone shed light? Sort batch label items by barcode

Hello all, I'm using koha 3.03 and i've been printing labels, however the items are sorted by record number or order of selection which is cumbersome if there are a lot of records. I would like to sort by barcode number instead of record number. Any ideas? Amir Seni

KOHA and computer reservation software

Hello, (I'm posting this to more than one KOHA list - sorry if you get multiple copies) I work at the Grand County Public Library is Moab, UT. We are a Liblime customer and we have been using KOHA in our library since May 2009. We would like to know if there are any libraries that are using computer reservation software integrated with KOHA to manage patron sessions on their public computers. Please email my library director - Carrie Valdes at carrie(a)moablibrary.org with information about what you are using and what level of pc management it provides. If you are not currently doing this, but would like to be and you are interested in this as a development project please let us know. We've been told about a very basic open source computer reservation software option, and we are also considering non-open source products like the reservation software from Envisionware. I'm getting ready to leave on vacation until Nov. 2nd and I will have unreliable email access while I'm gone. So, please direct emails to my library director until November. userid in stead of cardnumber

Hi, We have a working LDAP connection with Koha; however, there's one problem. The login name is mapped to the card number and we want to map it on the userid or OPAC login. How can we change that? Patron Record: Street Number Usage

We would appreciate feedback on how libraries have used the "Street number" subfield of the "Main address" portion of the Patron record. We have tried entering street numbers in the specified area and as part of the "Address" line. When entered in the specified area the number does not appear in the left column of the Patron Details display. We are using Koha for a Books by Mail program and will need to generate mailing labels for book bags from the patron data. Is there any reason why the "Street number" *should* be entered into the separate subfield? Library Groups

Hi all, I'm working on moving the manual and editing it while I do so - I was wondering if anyone could tell me how library groups are used. I saw someone say you can limit to a library group via search - and then a reply that that doesn't work - so can anyone tell me what groups are for? Nicole
