Hi I upgraded to koha-3.00.04 and after to koha-3.00.04_fixed but it only shows one item or first item in OPAC. Anybody else has the same problem? What must I do to solve it? Using Koha in conjunction with a CMS
by Sébastien Hinderer 01 Nov '09

01 Nov '09

Dear all, It would be helpful for our library's website to have, in addition to Koha, a set of more static pages to present the library, give news, perhaps documentation, etc. To achieve this, I'm considering a set-up where Koha would work in conjunciton with a CMS such as Drupal. I would like to know if others have experience with similar set-ups and if they have recommendations, advices, etc. For instance do tose who have set-up such a site used the same Apache virtual host for both Koha and the CMS ? Thanks in advance for any hint, Sébastien.

Strange behaviour of 3.04
by Beda Szukics 30 Oct '09

30 Oct '09

Hi After upgrading to 3.04 I have some serious difficulties working with koha. Allmost every action is very slow. The status bar of my browser indicates that it first connects with www.liblime.com and gets some data from there and after that it tries to connect to www.google-analytics.com. And then I have to wait ... Am I missing some system preferencies? I surely don't want koha to connect to some external website if I don't know exactly why that's needed. Reports: how to query MARC subfield 946a
by Marc Nürnberger 30 Oct '09

30 Oct '09

Dear all, We are working on koha 3.0.3 and would like to create a report within koha that includes the MARC Subfield 946a, in order to get a table with something like author, title, ... and the content of field 946a. How could we query this value? In which table.field can it be found? Appreciating any hints. Best, Marc

If you are - do you use them with pac or only staff pac? Can I see your pac to search? Thanks David Schuster -- View this message in context: http://old.nabble.com/Is-anyone-using-Search-group-Domains--tp26129787p2612… Sent from the Koha - Discuss mailing list archive at Nabble.com.

Re: [Koha] Using KOHA for textbooks?
by DUCAS, PAULA M 30 Oct '09

30 Oct '09

Our school district will be going live in January and will be attempting to circulate textbooks. The problems we have seen so far are MARC record size limits which affects the amount of duplicate records added and the search speed, and global and ceiling due dates that has to be set for all item types. Also at issue are how to set limits on amount of items circulated to each borrower and where to set the ceiling price affecting overrides. Another problem is the title display in the staff client. Currently the title displays only 245 subfield a. Apparently David Schuster has paid for the development allowing additional 245 subfields to display and this should be out by the end of the year (thank you, David). We suppressed the textbook records from the OPAC so that novels and textbooks not stored in the libraries do not show up in the OPAC. Right now our plan is to create reports that will give us the information we need about textbooks. We found that library interfaces like the OPAC are just not all that useful for textbooks, regardless of the ILS used. We will use the staff client to circulate texts, but plan on creating a report interface that will do such things as combine information from duplicate bib records so that student textbooks will be counted/reported on together. We are also planning to create programs that will change data such as due dates in textbook records to an end of the year date. Our long range plan is combining information from our student registration database like students schedules to information in our library database to track students who have checked out textbooks according to their hourly class schedules.
