Folks, Has anyone gotten their installation of Ex Libris' SFX Open Link Resolver to successfully generate a link to search their Koha catalogue for a journal/e-book? I'm working with the configurations right now, and just can't seem to get them right. Any assistance is greatly appreciated. MySQL and utf8 in the installation instructions

Just a thought but something that has bothered me about the instructions for installing Koha. In the instructions your pointed to warnings about installing with utf8 and no real approachable guidance on how to ensure you create your Koha database in MySQL as utf8. Wouldn't this addition to all the instructions fix that problem and alleviate the need to do extensive reading on MySQL character sets? create database koha character set utf8

Zico, Lets take this to the general list, as MJ suggested. Shouldn't you be using the -z option for incremental updates? Nonetheless, that is not the cause of the problem. The problem does not occur in fresh installs, it seems to only occur where a data base has been upgraded from an earlier version. So does that suggest that a data element has been lost in the upgrade? If so, why is the problem only in the OPAC? It needs a bit of research to identify the exact circumstance. I won't be able to do that until after Christmas. Koha 2.2, browser wants to download mainpage.pl or opac-main.pl

ok, I am back to Koha 2.2.9 because everything went bezerk here with 3.0 Reinstalling 2.2.9 went very smooth compared to 3.0, but when I type the koha address in the browser, the browser opens a window that says 'opening mainpage.pl You have chosen to open mainpage.pl which is a: PL file from: http://debian:8080 What should Iceweasel do with this file? I don't want it to open it or save it to disk. cgi.load is enabled in apache I need help! Hello again, Sorry to bother the list again but I did add 952 $a and $b, with my location code in both fields, and then tried importing this set of records again. Here is the output. Any ideas? Scanning Barcodes

Hi We are able to scan barcodes printed on books using a barcode scanner however unable to scan barcodes generated by Koha via label/patron creator. Is this a known issue or is there a config setting that I should check? Or is there a workaround for this issue? Thank you.
