Changing itemtypes?

We've got a new boss, well, kind off, and she got some things going. Now I have been asked to delete some itemtypes, which is no problem when they are empty. Is there a possibility to change itemtypes in the database without screwing up the whole system? (I tried something like UPDATE items SET itype = 'CAS' WHERE itype ='AAC'; and UPDATE biblioitems SET itemtype = 'CAS' WHERE itemtype ='AAC'; to take an example, but that did not really change anything, or rather, it did, but it wasn't working that well.) I figured that when I change the itype/itemtype in biblio/biblioitems it still does not change in biblio.marcxml, is there a way to do that? Thanks, Marty

Error in Uploading Patron Images

Dear Colleagues, I have installed koha on several occasions before. I helped a colleague make the installation once again yesterday and followed the exact steps I used before. However, I am now experiencing an error when I try to import patron Images and the error I get is below *"Can't locate object method "newFromPng" via package "GD::Image" at /usr/local/lib/perl/5.8.8/GD/Image.pm line 81.*" Has anyone handled this error before. Arabic Translation of Koha

Hello everyone, I've been recently working on translating Koha to Arabic, however I can across this article on Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Koha_(software) ) that says that Koha was already translated to Arabic. I didn't see any arabic PO files in the main Koha distribution though. So I just want to know if Koha was translated to Arabic or not, and if it was translated then where is the Arabic PO file. problem with koha patron categories

hi to all i'm installed koha on debian in last steps in zebra when i run sudo -u {KOHA_USER} zebrasrv -f /etc/koha/koha-conf.xml i get sudo: no passwd entry for {KOHA_USER}! what i shall do now . and when i write in my browser localhost:8080 i get apache page it works . any suggestions , help thank's ti all _________________________________________________________________ News, entertainment and everything you care about at Live.com.
