Hi Amber Have you tried with a more recent version of Koha, 3.0.2 is a year old now, 3.0.6 is the most recent, with 3.2.0 due for release soon. There are a lot of things you can do to speed up circ, mysql tuning, expires headers etc. But one simple thing to try is using google chrome as your browser, it seems to render the circ pages a lot faster than other browsers. About Annoying Highlighting Behaviour

Dear all. Today I came across a behavior that is caused because of the search result highlighting feature in KOHA. I'm using KOHA 3.0.6 and this is the opac link http://202.70.88.11:8000 I searched for an entry "a" and found that it highlights all the a's in the whole page (not only in search result). well that was not a big problem but the thing that annoyed me was the dropdown list for sorting the result. I don't know why, all the a's in that list gets disappeared when selected. The same happens when I search for any other alphabet like "o". But if I search for "nepal" then everything is fine. I tried to turn off the OpacHighlightedSearch option in Staff Client, but there is not effect of it. I tried to search the same in Staff Client, but there is no such problem. Staff client interface is not skipping any alphabet while searching. Please look at this and let me know, if I'm wrong anywhere. Dear All, I have an installed version of KOHA(3.00.04) and a well populated database of this system. Now I have installed KOHA(3.00.06) on another sytem due to some official reason. Chris, Chris, Editing the sql fixed the problem! I also had to change the default value from null to zero, so it would take This is the version we are at: Koha 3.00.02.012. We haven't updated since we installed it back in March. We were looking at making use of the withdrawn field recently but I don't recall tweaking anything. The guy who works with me on Koha is on vacation. He may know the origins of this change. Thanks so much for solving this problem for us. Catalogers are very good company to keep when they cannot edit or add items. Wow!!! That's it!!! I just looked at an earier saved koha database and it is "wthdrawn" but our current iteration has it as "withdrawn." I am perplexed. We did add the authority values to add SUPPRESS, but I don't think we touched any other values. Is "withdrawn " with an "i" a default auhtority value? I guess I could just edit the SQL structure the table. Inability to Add/Edit Items 'withdrawn' vs 'wthdrawn' in Items.pm

We have been unable to add or edit items. The problem only started recently. In the error log, it points to an "unknown column" 'wthdrawn' in Items.pm. I changed the string to 'withdrawn' which corresponds to the field in the items table. I am still however getting the error. Do I have to restart something? Is there any reason the perl script would use a different field name than the table?
