We set the preference opacbookbag to "on" but the cart still does not appear. The option to add books to the cart gets turned on under each book record, but there is no cart icon to click on so that users can look at the contents of their cart. Are there additional steps we need to take to get the cart icon to display? I checked the user-configurable opac selections in the admin interface, such as opacheader and opacuserjs to see if there was some specific code suppressing the cart there, but couldn't find anything. We are using LEK, specifically: 3.01.00.039 with LibLime Enterprise Koha build: 4.0200019. -- Stacy Pober Information Alchemist Manhattan College Library Riverdale, NY 10471 stacy.pober@manhattan.edu
Stacy, In official Koha releases the opacbookbag preference is all that's needed to turn on the cart. There are no known bugs with this feature. Thanks Nicole C. Engard Koha Documentation Manager On Tue, Sep 7, 2010 at 5:18 PM, Stacy Pober <stacy.pober@manhattan.edu> wrote:

Thanks Nicole. When I turn on the bookbag (cart) preference, the option to add items to a cart appears in the opac, so the pref does *something*. Unfortunately, once users put things in the cart, there's no way to retrieve them without the cart icon. When we first got set up, there was some customization done on the opac javascript and html. Could this be interfering with the cart display? I've seen the cart option working in other LEK libraries on our version, so I suspect there may be something either conflicting in our library's prefs or some custom javascript or html blocking it. I just don't see any reference to it in the opac prefs I've checked. We sent this question last week to our local email support list - twice, actually - but have not heard anything back from our support vendor. I thought this would be a pretty easy question .... guess not! Stacy On Tue, Sep 7, 2010 at 7:31 PM, Nicole Engard <nengard@gmail.com> wrote:

It would depend entirely on what your customisations where, but yes, it is possible that having a cart wasn't considered when they were done, and so they're breaking it. -- Robin Sheat Catalyst IT Ltd. ✆ +64 4 803 2204 GPG: 5957 6D23 8B16 EFAB FEF8 7175 14D3 6485 A99C EB6D
Stacy, I tried looking up your library catalog myself from your signature, and got http://man.waldo.kohalibrary.com (JASPERcat). Is that correct? For me, the Cart button is present in the OPAC as an anonymous user. Does it disappear when one logs in? Cheers, -Ian 2010/9/8 Robin Sheat <robin@catalyst.net.nz>

Regarding Your Comment: We sent this question last week to our local email support list - twice, actually - but have not heard anything back from our support vendor. I thought this would be a pretty easy question .... guess not! Hey Support Vendor! You need to step up your game if you are going to have customers on an "unofficial" version of Koha. It's not fair to leave support to the rest of the community who is running the official versions. Lori On Tue, Sep 7, 2010 at 11:11 PM, Stacy Pober <stacy.pober@manhattan.edu>wrote:
