I welcome John Yokley's statement calling for steps to reduce divisiveness and for creation of a foundation to hold all Koha trademarks and domain names as a very positive step. However his specific proposal is just a starting point for discussion and I agree entirely with the suggestions for an entirely open discussion by all parties of approaches to a foundation or other umbrella Koha organization that will indeed not be dominated by any single company or organization. I encourage John or Patrick Jones to attend KohaCon as an ideal step toward open discussion. However, I am distressed by a few responses that seem personally hostile. We like to speak about the Koha "community." A community is better served through reasonable discussion and exchange of views and I would like to suggest that it will be more productive and professional to seek the high road in our postings to the list. Hi all, KohaCon is the ideal place for a good solid discussion around the issue and it is only weeks awaynow. If PTFS are truly committed to being a part of the Koha community then It is critical that they get down here and start participating in the discussion as equals rather than tell us all the way its going to be. It should very easy to have an irc channel on a large screen throughout and people paraphrasing the converstaion back onto irc channel and feeding and vice versa. Also, the entire Koha Subcommittee of HLT will be in attendance at that meeting and we have scheduled a meeting after the conference once we have all heard the discussion and any resolution on moving forward. cheers Jo. Hiding specific item types

We wanted something similar for an item type that we don't want to appear in the public OPAC/ The best I could come up with is having a category under "LOST" which will make the item not appear in the public OPAC. It is not ideal, because the items aren't really "Lost" at all. I had to go into Firefox and make a couple of modifications 2. File page Setup 3. margins&header/Footer tab and change all 4 to 0.0 4. set the header footer drop down options to blank. "multiple copies of a book appear as independent records" This first thing I would do is use MARCedit to tear apart 2 of these independent records from your old system and examine them closely. Find out where and how they are different. Once you find the difference it my become apparent how to fix the problem. Here are some rough notes I kept on migrating from Koha 2.29 to 3.xx You may need to use much the same process to create the correct 952 field entries.
