How to apply a patch?
by knight 07 Dec '10

Hello all, I am looking for a way to include Advanced Reader information within a zebra search, hopefully to add another level of automation within the catalog process. I found a patch listed here: http://www.mail-archive.com/koha-patches@lists.koha.org/msg04867.html http://www.mail-archive.com/koha-patches@lists.koha.org/msg04867.html I'm not quite sure how to apply it to the system though. I'm familiar with using terminal and I see their are three files to modify but I'm not sure which file to include what data/changes. Or is there a better way of doing including the AR data. It will be added to the 526 tag in the framework. Any suggestions? -- View this message in context: http://koha.1045719.n5.nabble.com/How-to-apply-a-patch-tp3296080p3296080.ht… Sent from the Koha - Discuss mailing list archive at Nabble.com.

Problem with latest koha download
by Randall Rowe 07 Dec '10

The latest and greatest tarball seems to be truncated. I've downloaded it twice and gotten the same result. -rw-r--r-- 0 koha koha 2482996 Oct 6 21:01 koha-3.02.00/misc/translator/po/ms-MY-i-staff-t-prog-v-3002000.po tar: Truncated input file (needed 2483200 bytes, only -30 available) tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors. at the end of the tar extraction. File size is only 5299490 Dec 7 08:23 koha-3.02.00.tar.gz Whereas the older version is 8185551 Dec 7 08:14 koha-2.2.9.tar.gz and tar has no issues. We are new to Koha and this will be my first installation. I did find it interesting that the Docs area of the site doesn't seem to have an installation guide. :-) So I am operating under the assumption that the information I need is in the missing areas of the tarball. TIA! Randy Rowe Lincoln City Libraries I.T.

New Koha Mailing List - Koha Docs
by Nicole Engard 07 Dec '10

07 Dec '10

Hi all, Thanks to Henri-Damien at BibLibre we now have a working mailing list for sending patches to the documentation. Visit: https://lists.koha-community.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/koha-docs and sign up if you want to help out with the manual. The manual is available via the official git repo: http://git.koha-community.org/gitweb/?p=kohadocs.git;a=summary , just make sure you update the right version - there are now 3.2 and 3.4 manuals in that repo. If you would like to start a new language file, just let me know and I'll put some files in your language folder to get you started. Thanks a bunch, Nicole C. Engard Documentation Manager
