delete inventory of one library

Greetings friends, we have three libraries on our Koha 3.03 and one of them now needs to be removed along with its inventory. This library shares a Library and Group (Libraries and Groups) as well as Patrons but has 6 separate Item Types and a separate Location (LOC under Authorized Values). The library does not use Acquisitions but does have issuing rules. There are materials currently charged out. (Some data appears to be inconsistent: search results show numbers available and on loan, but detailed biblios show different numbers available or on display.) We could check in each of the charged items, delete the item records, then delete the biblio. However there are approximately 4900 item records in the inventory. I've also considered migrating the part of the database we'll be keeping to another server. Is there another, better solution? koha 3.2 installation on debian lenny

Hi All, I installed koha 3.0.6 on debian lenny before following http://openlib.org/home/krichel/courses/lis508/debiankohainstall020809.pdf http://openlib.org/home/krichel/courses/lis508/debiankohainstall020809.pdf instructions. But when I try these same instructions to install Koha 3.2, its saying that it cannot find sudo apt-key add indexdata.asc adn the list for the others goes on, added on to that, I'm unable to install the dependencies for koha. PLEASE HELP ASAP. Koha Events OS Academy a big success for Koha by Chris Cormack Over the last 2 weeks Catalyst has been running a pilot of an ‘Academy’ for high school age students. I was very happy to be a part of what, in my opinion, turned out to be a very well run and most worthwhile exercise. During the first week the students were treated to tutorial sessions, including installing ubuntu on their laptops, using git, perl, php, postgresql, configuring a server, copyright, licenses, freedom, community, graphics (inkscape & the gimp), html css and javascript. Can't import MARC records

Hi folks. I am looking for a little help with Koha. I am using the Koha VM, which used the built-in git system to update to 3.03.00.003. Any time I try to import a MARC record from the LOC or any other source, I get the following error: Software error: Can't call method "add_subfields" on an undefined value at /home/koha/kohaclone/cataloguing/addbiblio.pl line 144. New print fines feature

Today I noticed the new print link next to each account line on the patron's Fines tab. What I don't understand is why you can only print one line at a time and each receipt shows the total due. Shouldn't there be a way to select multiple lines to print on one receipt? Or not have it show the total due? I'm not sure when the feature was added or what bug it was linked to (my search didn't find it) so I can't add my notes there, feel free to point me to the bug report - or answer my questions :) Nicole

Koha - migration of history

Everyone, So far I've figured out how to migrate the records, the patrons, and the circulation history from our current records into Koha. Now I'm looking into if/how to migrate a least part of the cataloging history. After discussions here, it sounds as if what we would most like to maintain, if possible, is the name of the original cataloger who added the record (most of our records are original cataloging) and the cataloger who last modified the record, with dates. Before I get too deep into this, I was wondering if anyone else has attempted this or something similar and/or what insights the someone might could give me on the feasibility of doing such a thing. Call number issue

An LC cataloging record that I need puts the call number into the "090" tag which raises the following questions: 1. Would the cataloging gods be offended if I put the call number into the "050" tag? 2. If I preserve the integrity of LC cataloging, would I have to manually insert the call number into the bib record? 3. When I import the record from the Z39.50 search, the "090" tag doesn't appear; how would I insert it into the koha record?
