Ghost records
by Lenora Oftedahl 28 Apr '11

28 Apr '11

Hello all. Koha v. 3.00.00.107 Zebra 2.0.34 We're having a problem with ghost records in the index. The Zebra index is rebuilt every night, but still when searching, I'll pull up two records: one that has been deleted and one that is real. The public receives a 404 error. I receive Can't call method "fields" on an undefined value at /usr/share/koha/intranet/cgi-bin/catalogue/MARCdetail.pl line 123. Has anyone solved this problem? Will upgrading solve the problem or just compound? Thanx. Lenora StreamNet Regional Librarian Columbia River Inter-Tribal Fish Commission

Zebra errors
by Tom Hanstra 27 Apr '11

27 Apr '11

I've successfully got indexing working without Zebra so now I'm trying to configure with Zebra. I think I have Zebra installed (placed in my own /shared/zebra directory) and I ran the rebuild_zebra.pl and got resulting files: ./var/lib/zebradb/biblios/register ./var/lib/zebradb/biblios/register/isambA-0.mf ./var/lib/zebradb/biblios/register/isambC-0.mf ./var/lib/zebradb/biblios/register/isambD-0.mf ./var/lib/zebradb/biblios/register/recdA-0.mf ./var/lib/zebradb/biblios/register/gmatch-0.mf ./var/lib/zebradb/biblios/register/isambB-0.mf ./var/lib/zebradb/biblios/register/dict-0.mf ./var/lib/zebradb/biblios/register/reci-0.mf And the zebrasrv starts and looks like it is running. But, with searches now using the Zebra indexes, I get an ERROR 109 from zebrasrv: 11:30:34-27/04 zebrasrv(4) [request] Search biblios ERROR 109 1 1+0 RPN @attrset Bib-1 @not @or @or @attr 1=1003 @attr 4=1 @attr 6=3 @attr 9=32 @attr 2=102 "twain, mark" @attr 1=1003 @attr 4=1 @attr 9=26 @attr 2=102 "twain, mark" @attr 1=1003 @attr 5=1 @attr 4=6 @attr 9=26 @attr 2=102 "twain, mark" @attr 1=9011 1 What is ERROR 109? How can I track down what might be still missing? Problem with Label Batch Create
by Empedocles 27 Apr '11

27 Apr '11

Hi, I have recently upgraded to 3.4. The layout, profile, and template sections of the labels tool are all working as they should, however I am having the following problem with the batch manager: -Trying to add new items/batches returns the error that the branch is not set. Although I had set the branch, at the top of the batch manager page there is simply a blank beside the set branch link- neither the branch name nor NO_BRANCH_SET. This does not seem to be happening anywhere else on the staff client. -The error log readout is as follows: [error] use of uninitialized value $branch_code in concatenation (.) or string at /usr/share/koha/intranet/cgi-bin/labels/label-manage.pl line 89., referer: http://.....:8080/cgi-bin/koha/labels/label-home.pl I was able to use the batch creator without problems under 3.2 (although I can't remember the last release I used it under). Any ideas on what might be causing this? Thanks in advance. Font changes on receipts
by Lesley Kimball 27 Apr '11

27 Apr '11

We are brand-new to Koha (went live on Monday 4/25). I would like to change the appearance (esp. font) of our receipts. I have found some information online (& archives) - all about editing the intranetuserjs area - but I am not proficient with javascript or css and I am not sure what I would put in that field. Most of the references I have found suggest something like - "put your own css/js info here, then the font info" - but since we aren't currently using any js or css in that area, I'm not sure how to go about that. Does anyone have a very simplified piece of code that you would share that might work for us? If I'm way off base, just let me know!! Thanks, Lesley Kimball ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ You see, I don't believe that libraries should be drab places where people sit in silence, and that's been the main reason for our policy of employing wild animals as librarians. -- Monty Python, "Gorilla Librarian" sketch ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Lesley Kimball Director Wiggin Memorial Library Stratham, NH <mailto:Director@WigginML.org> Director(a)WigginML.org

Re: [Koha] SQL statement for generating current checkouts

Nabonita, Simply change the WHERE issues.issuedate = 'yyyy-mm-dd' part to read WHERE issues.issuedate <= 'yyyy-mm-dd' in each query. Remove koha and mysql to try again
by padraic 27 Apr '11

27 Apr '11

Hi folks, I am currently trying to install koha on my ubuntu computer at home. i was following the instructions over on http://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Koha_on_Ubuntu but have run into problems where I cannot access mysql. I'm not 100% sure but reckon that my problem is probably that I previously configured accounts on mysql for other applications and no longer have the details. I would love to just clear mysql and the koha installation I already have. Would deleting the koha folder in my home directory and apt-get uninstalling lamp server remove everything or cause more problems. I guess I could do a fresh install of Ubuntu but would prefer not to. Any help would be greatly appreciated! -- View this message in context: http://koha.1045719.n5.nabble.com/Remove-koha-and-mysql-to-try-again-tp4340… Sent from the Koha - Discuss mailing list archive at Nabble.com.
