Conditional display of ExtendedPatronAttributes for specific member categories
by Indranil Das Gupta 09 May '11

09 May '11

Hi all, I've the following use-case with members: a) Life-members - one-time pymt; has security deposit; has fines; over 18 b) General member - annual fee, has security deposit; has fines; over 18 c) Child Member - no fee, no security deposit, no fines, under 18; must furnish copy of school id d) Neo-Literate - life-time, no fee, no security deposit, no fines, over 18; must furnish copy of literacy certification issued by local government. e) Differently Abled - life time no fee, no security deposit, no fines, over 18; must furnish copy of differently-abled certification issued by local government. For the last three case, I want an extended patron attribute to check/record if the documents have been furnished for government compliance. Now, if I create a ExtendedPatronAttributes, it shows up for all the member types, can I do something with intranetuserjs to suppress / ignore the additional attribute for "A" and "B" above? Any idea? -- Indranil Das Gupta Phone : +91-98300-20971 Blog : http://indradg.randomink.org/blog IRC : indradg on irc://irc.freenode.net Twitter : indradg -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Please exchange editable Office documents only in ODF Format. autoBarcode not incrementing
by WTC 09 May '11

09 May '11

Hello I am in the process of adding new books to Koha for the first time. I've added all the MARC records, and now I'm adding the items. I keep getting Error saving item: Barcode must be unique The autoBarcode is set to <branchcode>yymm0001 so I expect it to increment, but it keeps generating the same barcode number for each item. Any help please? These messages are being generated in the logs. The latest 3.2.x release is 3.2.7 You can get it at downloads.koha-community.org (Information at www.koha-community.org) The latest Koha release is actually 3.4.0 now. I would suggest either installing 3.2.7 or 3.4.0 The error you are getting looks to do with a missing module, or one not installed cleanly. Below is my list of unique holidays. as you can see, the sort order has gone for a toss. 31/08/2011 ??? Id-Ul-Fitre ??? 27/09/2011 ??? Mahalaya ??? 26/10/2011 ??? Kali Puja ??? 22/04/2011 ??? 3.2.x String Freeze and Roadmap Update
by Chris Nighswonger 09 May '11

09 May '11

Hi All, We are going to keep with May 15, 2011 for the 3.2.8 release which puts 3.2.x into a string freeze as of today. The 3.2.x branch has quite a few commits since 3.2.7, so this will be an important release. 3.2.x will thaw on May 16. Subsequent 3.2.x releases will be largely dependent upon commits available for back porting and patches submitted directly against the 3.2.x branch. At present, the plan is to support 3.2.x through 3.2.10 *if* there are commits/patches to do so. When we get to 3.2.10 or when it is clear we will not get there, I'll add a monthly IRC meeting agenda item to discuss EOL for the 3.2.x branch. As always: Thanks to all the individuals who have put time, effort, and money into making Koha a great ILS! Kind Regards, Chris Nighswonger 3.2.x/3.4.x Release Maintainer
