Searching problem after import marc

I m using Koha 3.4.2 version at ubuntu 10.04. i hve imported data from a csv file by converting records into marc using marcedit. After import complete (1340 biblios). How to extract tag 050 data only in marcxml field from biblioitems table

Dear folks, I'm using Koha ver 3.2. I want to extract the Title, Author, itemcallnumber, (LC call no.), barcode, holdingbranch directly from mySQL tables. But the itemcallnumber field is empty. The call number is available in the marcxml and marc field in biblioitems table. After migrating the bibliographic records from verion 2.4 to the Koha 2.9 and then Koha 3.2, the classification field which we used to store our call number is not available in the current biblioitems table. So, is there a way to select the call number data (tag 050) only from marcxml or marc field in the biblioitem table. Becuase most of our call number were stored in the older version of Koha, classification.biblioitems, are not available in Koha version 3.2. As a result the itemcallnumber field is almost empty. Searches problems (acqdate and callnumber)

Hi there. I'm using Koha 3.2.6 with UNIMARC and i'm facing two problems with Koha searches. First i'm having a problem with acquisition date search. For example if i search for "2011-06-30" are returned the record that have items with that acquisition date bu also records that items are loaned or returned on that date. I've checked record.abs and acqdate is mapped to 995^5 and not to any other field. Why Zebra is searching in other subfields that 995^5? What can I do to solve this problem? The second problem is with callnumber ordering. For example the following callnumbers: G.122 VIA*Mar G.122 VIA*Mar 2ª ed G.122 AGU*Mar are ordered (0-9 to A-Z) in this; G.122 VIA*Mar G.122 AGU*Mar G.122 VIA*Mar 2ª ed That ordering is wrong... Should be: G.122 AGU*Mar G.122 VIA*Mar G.122 VIA*Mar 2ª ed What is wrong with this? Anyone have a solution to this? Thanks in advance. Regards. Vitor Fernandes

Issue with renewals

Hello We upgraded to 3.4 at the end of June. Yesterday I was doing some staff training and noticed that if I issue a book to a patron and on the same day renew it, the date keeps rolling forward instead of renewing to the same date. For example, I issued a 1 week loan to a patron yesterday, original due date 25th July. I renewed it yesterday the first time, instead of the due date remaining the 25th, it was now 1st August. Second time, 8th August. Third time 15th August. Is there anything in the circ rules (or anywhere else for that matter!) to stop this happening? If any of our students realise it will do this I can envisage them renewing their items several times immediately to get longer loans before other students can place holds. Koha and barcode related issues

Dear all, I have installed koha 3.02.05.000 on Ubuntu 10.04 and uploaded MARC file of around 26800 record of books. i have pasted barcode on books and the barcode label is prepared like 00001,00002,00003...to 09999 and at the same time my bibliographic record in koha having barcode like 1,2,3...9999...26800.The problem is that when scanning a book which comes under 10000 (i.e number starts with the digit zero at the beginning), it displays that the barcode doesnt exist. Hi there, I don't know if this has been reported anywhere else or is a known issue -- I'm new to Koha and didn't find anything on the web: Though I've entered all the Amazon keys in the appropriate text boxes, Koha won't display Amazon user reviews nor similar items. Can someone tell me how the best way might be to suppress a large group of over 400 records? I know about adding the 942 subfield n, but is there a way to do it to a group of records?
