Amazon Associate and AmazonAssocTag

Hello. I'm using Koha 3.2.9 and have a query about AmazonAssocTag. I've entered my associate id for Amazon.co.uk and also the AWS Private Key and AWS Access Key ID. My assumption is that if a patron clicks on a cover image when they are taken to Amazon the associate id should also transfer over so that if they purchase the book we get our 5%. However, when clicking on the image the URL doesn't include the associate id so I don't see how Amazon will know that we sent them a customer. Is there a bug? Or is there another option I need to select. Does it work on Amazon.co.uk or only Amazon.com? SQL for items with a lot of holds

I'm trying to write a report that will list items with the number of holds/items over a certain number and then list the number of holds placed per library. Since the holds to items ratio is different depending on the format of the item (book, DVD, CD, etc.) I'm thinking I've got to have one report for each item type. My initial attempt: SELECT biblio.biblionumber, reserves.branchcode AS 'Library', biblio.title AS 'Title', COUNT(items.biblionumber) AS 'Copies', COUNT(reserves.biblionumber) AS 'Holds' FROM biblio LEFT JOIN items ON (items.biblionumber = biblio.biblionumber) LEFT JOIN reserves ON (reserves.biblionumber = items.biblionumber) LEFT JOIN biblioitems ON (biblioitems.biblionumber = biblio.biblionumber) WHERE items.ccode = 'BK%' GROUP BY biblio.biblionumber HAVING (COUNT(reserves.biblionumber)/COUNT(items.biblionumber)) > 15 When trying to troubleshoot why this didn't return any results, I discovered that SELECT biblio.title, COUNT(items.biblionumber), COUNT(reserves.biblionumber) FROM biblio JOIN items ON (items.biblionumber = biblio.biblionumber) JOIN reserves ON (reserves.biblionumber = biblio.biblionumber) returned really large numbers and the items and holds numbers wer all equal. For a specific bibionumber, it gave me 520 for both the count of items and the count of reserves. There are 8 holds and 65 items for that biblionumber. So it's multiplying the two counts together and returning that as the result. Changing the JOIN types didn't help any. Can anyone please tell me what I'm doing wrong and how to fix this? Thanks! Koha drop down box for States?

All, In Koha 3.4 the state is a separate field (Hooray!!) Is there a way to tie it to a an authorized value (I've done one for the states and territories of the United States) and would like it to be a drop down. online card apps in Koha

Hello All, Are any libraires using a realtime online library card application process? At Washoe County Library System we will migrate to Koha later this year. We would like patrons to fill out library card applications at a self-service computer station and then immediately present verification of residency to receive their card. Records not staged because of MARC Error

Hi All, I have recently upgraded from Koha 3.2 to 3.4, and since have tried to import new records from a MARC export which imported in the previous version with no errors. The error I am getting is as follows after attempting to Stage MARC for Import Stage MARC Records For Import MARC Staging results : 8563 records in file 8563 records not staged because of MARC error 0 records staged Did not check for matches with existing records in catalog 0 item records found and staged Manage staged records Back I am not able to locate any other log files than the ones located in /var/log/koha Would anyone what might be the problem - or where else I might look for indications as to what the problem might be? Re Linux anti-virus software and other security issues - UPDATE

Thanks to all who responded to my query with the very helpful information. I went to the City Council meeting loaded for bear, but it turned out to be unnecessary. I gave our library director a list of anti-virus programs available for Linux and he passed it on to the councilman in question, along with the promise we would install one. That appears to have been sufficient to appease him. Our agenda item remained part of the consent agenda and it passed without question. Today we begin the process of getting Koha on board as our ILS. I would love to just run it on a Linux server, but alas the virtual machine on a Microsoft platform was a necessary compromise to get our IT department on board during the RFP process. We may have been able to win that battle, but it would have definitely been a battle, since all RFP must be approved by the Finance Director, and IT is (oddly) in the finance department.
