Patron image import
by library 06 Mar '12

06 Mar '12

Kia Ora Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong. We are unable to import patron images using the instructions in the manual. I keep getting the following message, *WARNING:* This image *not* imported because the cardnumber and filename is missing. - Cardnumber: so I obviously haven't formatted the file correctly. Our txt file consists of columns 11125, 11125.jpg where 11125 is the student card number and 11125.jpg is the photo name and the document is in the same folder as all the photos. Importing images one at a time works fine. Thanks Ann Murphy Katikati College Library

3.6 on Chrome
by Paul Nielsen 06 Mar '12

06 Mar '12

Howdy, We are getting ready to upgrade to 3.6 and am interested to hear from anyone using chrome. We currently use firefox on 3.2 and have heard that chrome is faster especially for circulation functions. Any evidence, anecdotal or otherwise would be appreciated. Also, any advice on how to print issue slips in chrome would be great too as it was not apparent as to how to do this on first look at chrome. Field name for 952x
by library 06 Mar '12

Kia ora Can anyone tell me the field name for 952x. I have been updating my labels in 3.6 and have discovered it will no longer take the field numbers but only the field names. The Koha Database Schema<http://schema.koha-community.org/> suggests that it should be itemnotes but these do not seem to work. Can't search UNIMARC authorities
by Fabio T. 06 Mar '12

06 Mar '12

Hello koha-people, I have some authority records in auth_header table, I also ran a sudo koha-rebuild-zebra -f but I'm still having no chance: I can't search for any authority in Koha backend by Default, nor by NPs, Authority, Main heading or All headings anyway. Here's some info: I'm using the Koha 3.6 italian UNIMARC installation from packages. I'm using the default authority types configuration (see attachment). I've set the Thesaurus value of NP for 200$f and 700$a in the UNIMARC MN framework. Customizing code obtained via git
by Tom Hanstra 06 Mar '12

06 Mar '12

Is there documentation somewhere which provides some guidance on how to properly set up a clone obtained via git? I'm still learning how git works so I need some pretty basic guidance on incorporating it into my environment. The primary questions I have are how to get the cloned version to find what it needs in a non-standard environment. For instance, I installed my own version of perl because the OS version was too old. How do I get the clone to use that? I have learned how to set things up using the packaged versions, but would like to explore my options for setting up a clone instead. But the documentation I've seen on the Koha Wiki assumes a level of git that I have not yet achieved and/or assumes a very standard environment (as far as I can tell). So pointers on how to take the next step beyond that would be most appreciated.
