For folk making travel arrangements to Edinburgh expecially from outwith the UK, its worth noting that the 4th and 5th of June are public/bank holidays in the UK which tend to impact travel. Hi, What kind of impact - positive or negative? I am due to arrive London on the 4th and possible going to Edinburgh on the 5th. Also what pointers can we have to budget hotels? Regards. The University is on the South Side beside the Old Town. The New Town is walkable (up hill) or a short busride away. Both Stockbridge and Leith are a short bus ride or a longer walk away (I've commuted to the University from both) East/West/Mid Lothian are all out of town, so probably best to avoid for visitors. Edinburgh airport is also just out of town and on the worst commuting route into central Edinburgh. Edinburgh is fairly well served with buses and taxis but the central area (Old & New towns) is compact and you can walk to most places you may want to visit without difficulty. Salvete! Ta! I went ahead and added that to the KohaCon12 Summary page on the wiki, since I figure people will inevitably delete that email, or perhaps sign up later and never know it existed. :D If that's not okay, then edit it out. Cheers, Brooke
Thanks Colin! Greg ----------------------- On 03/09/2012 06:58 AM, Colin Campbell wrote:

Hi! I definitely suggest AirBnB: http://www.airbnb.com/info/how_it_works it's a great place to find budget accommodations all over the world. Best, Stefano On 08/03/2012 22:20, Olugbenga Adara wrote:
