Installing koha on Ubuntu machine

Performance of Koha and usage of remote MySQL server

Hello, I would like to know if the installation of Koha with a MySQL database on another server than the application may affect the performance of Koha. The MySQL server and application are on the same LAN, regardless of any order might be slowdown during query execution. Thanks for help

Hello and Questions about Koha Acquisitions

Hello Koha Community, I work at a small Academic Library and have almost finished migrating our Periodicals to Koha. We are having to juggle a few things and are thinking about switching from OSA (Online Selection Assistant) to the Koha Acquisitions module. How well does the Koha Acquisitions module work? Would we be able to import Price, Fund, Vendor, Order Number, and Invoice Number to our 945 line? Is there a simple report we could run that would give us that information along with the Title and ISBN of the item? ERROR 1045 (28000) : Installing koha on Ubuntu machine

Hi I am following : http://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Koha_on_Ubuntu to install the Koha on ubuntu. On step* 7- Create MySQL Database and grant all privileges to the koha database to the specified user.* Got following error : # mysqladmin -u root -p password create kohadata Error ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ mysqladmin: connect to server at 'localhost' failed error: 'Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: YES)' ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I have Reset the password of Mysql as well but still got this error. Also tried via PhpmyAdmin but got following error : ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- An error occurred while installing the database: â â â â ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using â â password: YES) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Need Help.
