ILLs on Koha?
by Library＠boystown.com.au 31 Aug '12

31 Aug '12

Hi All, Just trying to find out what is happening with interlibrary loans and Koha. I'm on 3.6 (and hoping for an upgrade soon) and I wondered if anyone has worked out a way to manage ILLs on Koha without an ILL module. I know one can't supress records on the opac, so I'm just looking at creating a temporary record and deleting this when the ILL is complete. Any suggestions? Thanks, Mandy Amanda Gardner Librarian BoysTown Suite 5 Cordova Street, Milton, Milton QLD. 4064 PO Box 2469, Brisbane, QLD. 4001 tel. 07 3368 3399 (x478) fax. 07 3867 1311 email. library(a)boystown.com.au http://www.boystown.com.au

Remainder of title not showing up in Koha catalog
by Hartman, David W. - GBTS Library 30 Aug '12

30 Aug '12

Hello all! When my patrons search the Koha OPAC, they see the title but not the subtitle. All of the "Remainder of title" fields are filled in Cataloging module but the catalog only displays the title and not the subtitle. Is there a setting I need to adjust somewhere? Thanks! David Hartman

For Koha 3.4 and Koha 3.8, we faced some nasty bugs that were not detected before the release. We think the “feature freeze” was too short to identify all potential problems. That’s why I have the following plan that delays the release by one month: 1. until 22 Sep: development 2. 22 Sep: feature freeze, no more large or core enhancements pushed for 3.10, whatever the patch submission date 3. 22 Oct: string freeze, no more string changes 4. 22 Nov: Koha 3.10.0 is released If you plan to upgrade your version immediately when the new one is released, please note that the release will be made on 22 November. I could release a 3.10.0RC1 (“Release Candidate”) on 22 October for early adopters. If you’re interested in such a RC1, let me know!
