Problems with CPAN during installation

Hi, I am trying to install Koha to my VPS, which has CENTOS6, and am using the instructions here: http://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Koha_3.6_on_Centos_6.2_i386 I have got down to the CPAN stage, and have tried to run these commands: perl koha_perl_deps.pl -m | grep 'Yes' | awk '{print "cpan -i -f "$1}' > perl-modules-install sh perl-modules-install but it keeps saying "Warning: expected file [/root/.cpan/sources/authors/01mailrc.txt.gz.tmp24576] doesn't exist" and when I check in my /root/.cpan/sources/authors folder, there are 29 files there, named "01mailrc.txt.tmp15948" and suchlike, but their filesize is 0, so they are empty. Presumably something went wrong when CPAN was installed, and it tried to extract the 01mailrc.txt.gz.tmpxxxxx files, but somehow failed?

Using Learnist for Koha demos

I'm considering using Learnist http://learni.st/category/featured#/category/featured <http://learni.st/category/featured%23/category/featured> as a means of teaching people how to use electronic resources and wondered if anyone is using it to demonstrate using Koha. I know that one of you has a Learnist board called 'Never underestimate the importance of books and libraries' which is a delight to read, but I'm looking for something more formally educational. Recently I subscribed to the list, and the welcome message suggested a short post introducing myself so I thought I would do that. I hope I am using the right address! I am a cataloger at Iowa Library Services, the agency formerly (and sort of still) known as the State Library of Iowa. We are a division under the State Department of Education. The new name reflects a reorganization that brought a formerly separate, statewide commission of regional library service areas and us together into the same agency. We run a depository program for State of Iowa government publications and my main job is to catalog them. It is mostly original cataloging but some copy cataloging as well. I also handle anything else that turns up needing original cataloging and I do some work with retrospective projects in the State Law Library collections. The reason for joining the list is that we are in the process of transitioning our catalog from Sirsi/Dynix Horizon to Koha. We have been learning quite a bit but there is a lot yet to learn and a lot of work ahead of us for a successful conversion. I have some questions right now that I am thinking of posting to the list but plan to peruse the archives a little more first to see if I can find some of what I need there. Koha seems very cool so far and we are looking forward to being in the community, even with all the work it will take to get there! MARC import problem

We've done a few imports before, and never encountered this particular puzzle. In Koha 3.10.02. We imported a batch of 709 records - and it all seemed to proceed as normal. In Manage staged MARC records it says status Imported, # records 709 We re-indexed, and ran links bibs to authorities as usual But when I search for any of these new records, they are not found. By going through the manage MARC import tool, I can look at the records by clicking on the biblionumber, everything appears to be in order, the authorities have linked, the item records are present. . . but no matter how I search for them, they are never found. Just out of curiosity, I went and edited the first record and then saved it. It still doesn't come up when I search for it. 740 analytical title does not display

Hi All, The 740 analytical titles do not display anywhere in the normal display of our bib records. We use these a lot in conjunction with series. They do show up in the ISBD display (not well but they are there) The frameworks are set up with the 740a being not hidden 0. Is there a way to get them to show in the normal display and in the OPAC? multiple installation

Hello I'm trying to run multiple libraries with koha (standard installation of koha 3.08.09.tar.gz) on a single server & single installation of koha (Debian squeeze Linux Based). I’ve used koha common package for necessary perl module. Then I've change of the necessary section of conf file and virtual host. Now the problem arises in the searching of the OPAC and Staff Client. All the opac shows the same search result though I've rebuild them differently. Actually it shows the last rebuild index on searching. Any fruitful suggestion on this regards?
