Hey folks, Spent some time today whipping up a Docker (http://docker.io) image for Koha for a talk I'm going to be giving about Docker later this year. If anybody on-list would like to see how it stands up, you can pull it from Docker's index with docker pull jbfink/koha . Note that I am by no means a Koha expert and this is my first time messing with Koha since... oh... 2002 or so, so there may be things with my Koha install which are broken or boneheaded in some way. jf

Koha 3.12.00.000 and stopwords

Hi I have upgraded to 3.12.00.000 from 3.10.5. However, if I do a search on the OPAC it seems the system is not recognizing key words. Is there anything I should do? It appears the QueryRemoveStopwords under system pref-> Searching has been removed. Any pointers to resolving the challenge? Zebra Indexing

We had used KOHA 3.0.2. In that version, after adding a record like Book. It was automatic shown in search. But this time we update the version to 3.10. In this version, after adding a record, Books dont shown in search automatically. It needs to re indexing by manually or cron, then It shows. There are two reasons that name might sound familiar. The first is that in my day job I do a lot of work with Koha (hosting, support, bespoke development, and all that jazz). The second is that just over a month ago I finished my term as Release Manager for Koha 3.12. I am very proud of what we did during my six month term. Koha has more features and works better for more libraries than ever before. I think that's a big deal. During those six months, I spent a lot of time working on Koha, as my wife can attest. I think I could count on my fingers the number of days in the entire release cycle (more than six months!) that I didn't do _anything_ related to the Koha release. I did this because I believe that Koha is important, and a better Koha is better for all of us. >From a business point of view, volunteering my time was a good >investment because I am now selling and supporting a better system. But you know what? I don't expect to be paid for all that time I spent volunteering my time for the community. Volunteering my time to build Koha 3.12 was its own (sometimes frustrating) reward. Thanks Robin - I had never noticed that there were EN-GB files in 3.8 ;={ I've just read Paul P.'s comments in translator_doc.txt and <http://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Installation_of_additional_languages_fo…> and will try and find time to play with it in the sandbox. And, btw, I was certainly not recommending changing the hard coded templates -- after hours of grep + vi, I would not be that sadistic to other users. Koha calendar hourly settings

Dear All, I am using Koha 3.12 because of its provision to issue items on hourly basis which I need for my 2-hour short-loan services. However, I cannot find any settings on the Koha calendar to help me set working hours for each working day so that users who borrow short-loan items towards the closure of the library say at 10:00pm are not charged overdue fines for the rest of the night and any other times the library remains closed. My calendar is something like: Mondays - Fridays 8:00am-10:pm Saturdays 11:am - 5:00pm Sundays Closed Any ideas on how to go about this? Regards I Juma

Customise OPAC title bar and additional search options

Dear all, Just in the process of customise OPAC and I would like to know how to do the following: 1. How do I remove the word "catalog" from the webpage title bar as it seems to have been hard coded? I have used Koha Administrator > Global System Preferences > OPAC to add our library name. Locally, we spell it as "Catalogue" instead of "Catalog". 2. Also how do I add more search options on the main page? This will be in addition to the existing ones (i.e. Library Catalog, Title, Author, Subject, etc.) on the dropdown list? OPAC online access not working

Dear all, Currently running 3.12 and have noticed a problem with online access via our OPAC. When hover over the "Click here to access online", it shows "http://translib.neouniverse.com.au:83/cgi-bin/koha/" instead of the specific URL stated in MARC 856$u for the title. This problem affects both the search result and item detail screens. Have I missed something? Thank you in advance for your assistance.
