Koha & Self-check system dropping out
by Catherine Kerrigan 28 Jan '14

28 Jan '14

Hi folks! We're installing an RFID/self-check system from FE Technologies but are having a problem in that the self-check kiosk keeps disconnecting from Koha. FE Technologies thinks it might be either a network or Koha problem, so whilst I check with our IT people re the network, I thought I would put the question to the community as well. We have installed verions 3.12.03.000 on Ubuntu. Many thanks. Linking subscriptipns to the budget
by Ann Murphy 28 Jan '14

28 Jan '14

Kia ora Is there any way I can link my subscriptions to the budget/funds function. So far have only managed to do it by creating a new record (which is not what I wanted at all). I am on 3.8.1 but hoping to be updated soon. Regards -- Ann Murphy Librarian Katikati College Beach Road, Katikati, 3129 New Zealand 0064 7 5492647 amurphy(a)katikaticollege.school.nz

Auto filling MARC fields using frameworks
by Margo Duncan 27 Jan '14

27 Jan '14

One of our catalogers would like to auto-fill one MARC field from another (e.g. populating the 952$u from the 856$u). Is this possible using the frameworks? Or using some other method I'm not considering? Koha 3.14.01.004 Thank you! Margo Margo Duncan, MLS Systems Librarian Robert R. Setting up Koha instances as Z39.50 servers
by w h 27 Jan '14

27 Jan '14

I am running Koha 3.14.01 under Oracle VM Virtual Box and Debian 7. I have set up a couple of instances, loaded some records, and all seems to work reasonably. Now I would like to set up the instances as Z39.50 servers. Looking at koha-conf.xml I uncommented three sections as I had previously under an older version of Koha. It remains a mystery as how ZEBRA_SRU_BIBLIOS_PORT and ZEBRA_SRU_HOST are established. Previous port was hard-coded as 9998. Now how is it possible to set the port? Currently, port 9998 is not active and working.
