Auto filling MARC fields using frameworks

One of our catalogers would like to auto-fill one MARC field from another (e.g. populating the 952$u from the 856$u). Is this possible using the frameworks? Add 952$3 to OPAC details

Is there any quick way to get the OPAC details page to show items.materials (952$3) without editing opac-detail.pl and opac-detail.tt? Thanks, Paul

Setting up Koha instances as Z39.50 servers

I am running Koha 3.14.01 under Oracle VM Virtual Box and Debian 7. I have set up a couple of instances, loaded some records, and all seems to work reasonably. Now I would like to set up the instances as Z39.50 servers. Looking at koha-conf.xml I uncommented three sections as I had previously under an older version of Koha. It remains a mystery as how ZEBRA_SRU_BIBLIOS_PORT and ZEBRA_SRU_HOST are established. Previous port was hard-coded as 9998. Now how is it possible to set the port? Currently, port 9998 is not active and working.

search problem - maybe javascript?

I have the problem, that no matter what field i place the cursor, it jumps to "search catalog". Even when I scan a barcode, because some patron want to borrow a book, the nuber is scanned, transferred to the "search catalog" field, and delivers a search result. Is it a javascript that does this? Hi everyone, (Running Ubuntu 12.04.4 LTS and Koha 3.1401000) I just thought I'd share that after every upgrade I run the following commands: sed -i 's/MZZZZZZZ/LZZZZZZZ/g' /usr/share/koha/intranet/htdocs/intranet-tmpl/prog/en/modules/catalogue/ detail.tt sed -i 's/MZZZZZZZ/LZZZZZZZ/g' /usr/share/koha/opac/htdocs/opac-tmpl/prog/en/modules/opac-detail.tt sed -i 's/TZZZZZZZ/MZZZZZZZ/g' /usr/share/koha/opac/htdocs/opac-tmpl/prog/en/modules/opac-results.tt that basically make the bookcover larger/better definition in both the Results and Opac/Intranet Detail pages... I was wondering if this was the right way to do this, and if people prefer the larger images, could it be possible to have this as part of the normal .tt files that come with every upgrade? Also - is there a downside to doing this? Or could we have a systems preference to choose the size of the various bookcovers? Regards Matthew http://library.hekima.ac.ke/

Hi, Most of you probably saw it on twitter or google+, but for the others, there's an important announcement for BibLibre: http://www.biblibre.com/en/blog/afi-and-biblibre-are-getting-closer There won't be any visible change for the Koha community, except, maybe, some new developers submitting or testing patches, which is always good ;-) For libraries that could be interested in our services, that's an important change though: with a larger company, we can manage larger contracts. Until now, we focused on French libraries. 2014 will be the year where we focus on EU libraries. The 1st contract 2014 has been with a Swedish institute in Roma. I started out trying to use CentOS because it is the linux best supported in our Hyper-V environment. I eventually switched to Ubuntu. You should be able to install a Fedora SRPM into Centos for most of the missing packages. I'll also see what I can do to help the repository along, if it is going to be of any assistance.
