Support status on CentOS or RedHat
by Jose-Marcio Martins 12 Mar '15

12 Mar '15

Hello, We're upgrading our current installation of Koha. We'd like to do it on a CentOS box. Most of our boxes are under RedHat or Fedora or CentOS. And I saw at some page of the wiki how to do it. My question is about the support status on CentOS. Someone told us that 99.9 % of Koha instances run on Debian (and derivatives) and it's absolutely unsure that it will run on CentOS or RedHat. Do you discourage using Koha on CentOS ? Just discourage ? Strongly discourage ? No support on CentOS ? Thanks for your answer. removing marc records
by yashwant 12 Mar '15

Dear All, I have received bibliographical records in a Marc format file for e-books that are hosted by EBSCO from OCLC that has to be deleted from our catalogue since there records are no longer available. But in koha you have to use barcode or item number for batch deletion. Is there any way this marc record file can be used? -- View this message in context: http://koha.1045719.n5.nabble.com/removing-marc-records-tp5831320.html Sent from the Koha-general mailing list archive at Nabble.com.

Help - kind request

Dear All, Hello I am Barbara from Cyprus University of Technology Library, and I would appreciate your help. I would like to know if there is a way of retrieving a report from KOHA, which will give me the amount of records completed in association with the Cataloguer's initials (in other words how many records each Cataloguer creates per day). This is a follow up to a suggestion made at KohaCon in Argentina last year. It is a high level document expressing intent - not designed to be a legal contract contestable in court. The real work and thinking needs to done in establishing the 'rules' for the grants committee including composition etc but that will all sit outside this MOU. This document will allow us to get started. The Te Horowhenua Trustees have accepted this document and are happy to sign. I would like to discuss this at the IRC meeting today / tonight (depending on where you live) with a view to the Koha Community nominating 4 signatories who are long serving members of the community and who can sign on behalf of us all. Remember: this is a statement of intent only. I'm not sure how to get this on the agenda; perhaps someone can help me :) Kind regards Jo. ######################################################################## ############# This e-mail message and any attached files may contain confidential information, and may be subject to legal professional privilege. MOU to establish a fund for Koha Development
by Joann Ransom 11 Mar '15

11 Mar '15

Hi everyone, Please find attached a draft MOU which Bob Birchall and I have been quietly developing for the last few months to establish a fund for Koha development. ##################################################################################### This e-mail message and any attached files may contain confidential information, and may be subject to legal professional privilege.
