Help 404 File Not Found / Files Missing
Hi there All of a sudden we are getting 404 Not Found error when we try to access Koha catalog or log in as librarian? I have rebooted the server. The Apache webserver is running. However the only file in the /var/www directory is index.html with the content "It Works - the web server software is runnning but no content has been added yet". The virtual webservers point to /usr/share/koha/opac/htdocs and /usr/share/koha/intranet/htdocs BUT when I examine via File Manager there is no koha directory in /usr/share?? No changes have been made apart from applying Ubuntu updates via Webmin as these are released. Has anyone experienced this behaviour before? And how do I get up and running again? -- Gregory Ashe IT Manager Glenstal Abbey Murroe Co Limerick Tel +353 61 386443 Mob +353 87 2346850 -- Consider the environment. Try# sudo apt-get install koha-common then# service apache2 restart worked for me like a charm. Suddenly koha servers are suddenly crashing. Started three days ago On 18 March 2015 at 13:24, Greg Ashe <gpa@glenstal.org> wrote:

Excellent - that worked perfectly. Any idea what caused this? Greg On 18 March 2015 at 13:05, Chrispin Simasiku Sitali <libsitali@gmail.com> wrote:

Hi all, Koha 3.18.04 on Ubuntu 3.13.0. I had a feeling I'd be seeing this on listserv soon enough! It happened to me last week too. In my situation, there was an Apache update amidst all the other updates that Ubuntu compiled the other day. Turns out when the Apache update was applied, it either reverted or changed the <library.conf> file in /etc/apache2/sites-available/ directory to just <library>. I changed this file back to read <library.conf>, and everything worked fine again. Now, I am nearly certain that this was the problem; I was scrambling to get my instance back up and running, and in the fray, it may very well have been something else I did. All I know is that I made this change and voila. Can anyone confirm a similar experience? Best, Craig Butosi, MA, MLIS, B Mus (Hons.)
