by Scott Owen 05 Jun '15

HI all, Any good directions on how to change a Koha servers IP address ?? I currently have a virtual machine configured "just the way I want it". I would like to back / restore this VM, then just change the IP address...so I can setup a second Koha machine for a separate location. Thanks, -S

Got it. Just didn't know if Koha had any hard coded IP / Networking config. secretly tucked away somewhere :-) I'm using Debian Squeeze. I would assume then that the basic Debian configuration should pretty much do the trick ? https://wiki.debian.org/NetworkConfiguration https://www.howtoforge.com/debian-static-ip-address Should I need to look at any Apache / MySql config etc... ?? -S On Thu, Jun 4, 2015 at 7:42 PM, Robin Sheat <robin(a)catalyst.net.nz> wrote: > Scott Owen schreef op do 04-06-2015 om 11:00 [-0400]: > > Any good directions on how to change a Koha servers IP address ?? > > Koha doesn't care what your IP address is, this is really a Linux > question. Sort Πas Oe, doesn't work. A bug of Zebra ?
by Tajoli Zeno 05 Jun '15

05 Jun '15

Hi to all, I'm trying to setup sort and search of Œ [latin capital ligature oe, Œ] I'm usign debian wheezy, with ICU Zebra version: 2.0.44-3 [debian package] In lang_defs/en/sort-string-utf.chr I insert: encoding utf-8 lowercase {0-9}abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz uppercase {0-9}ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ [...] equivalent Œ(Oe) [...] map Œ (Oe) In etc/words-icu.xml <transliterate rule="{ Œ > Oe "/> In etc/phrases-icu.xml <transliterate rule="{ Œ > Oe "/> Now on searching Œ is the same of Oe, but in sorting. If I sort by title I receive this order: Orders from the city Œuvres par Emile Zola Œ is sorted a single letter, after simple 'O'. Not like two letters Oe I think there is a problem in Zebra because I setup everything I know to do the equivalence Œ = Oe Do you more about this topic ? Do you have a succeful example about equivalence Œ = Oe ? Re: [Koha] Koha Digest, Vol 116, Issue 4
by Benedict Agunloye 04 Jun '15

Dear all, We have a KOHA version 3.8 installation in a special library located in Nigeria. The original installation was offline. The installation server now has a live IP and now real time online. When we logged in to the server online using the IP address, the OPAC is available but the Admin Login page is not available. We need to carry out online cataloguing and other admin functions remotely, what can we do. Thanking you in advance for helpful tips. Regards, Benedict. Advice on barcode replacement/central catalog
by Jeramey Valley 02 Jun '15

02 Jun '15

5 buildings with each their own library. 1 is using Koha now, the rest are being migrated this summer. We are going with a central catalog. Barcodes are not currently unique across the libraries, so we are generating new barcodes and replacing every barcode on every item this summer. My question revolves around bringing these “new” libraries into our existing Koha system. If I import the current material set from one of the new libraries, how difficult is the process to batch-update the barcodes from an external data soure? We have a separate program that will be used to scan in the current material barcode, parse and process it, then spit out a new, library-specific barcode. This process will have the biblio and original barcode plus new barcode that we can then put into a comma separated file to “batch update” Koha, but we’ve not tried to do that. Is that possible? Biblio number - is that internal and generated by Koha or is that something that would import from the original Material database (I don’t recall)? Is it better to process the barcodes in the material file before importing them into Koha, so that we would not be importing, then batch-changing within Koha? All thoughts much appreciated. -- Regards, Jeramey Valley Network Manager, Bullock Creek Schools valleyj(a)bcreek.org

Can't locate C4/Context.pm
by Roche III, Edward 02 Jun '15

I know I have been down this road before but I am having the issue again. I run the (2) export commands: export PERL5LIB=/usr/share/koha/lib (C4 is located here) export KOHA_CONF=/etc/koha/koha-conf.xml (the file is located here) But I still keep getting the error when running the perl /usr/share/koha/bin/migration_tools/rebuild_zebra.pl -b -w command Can't locate C4/Context.pm in @INC (@INC contains: /etc/perl /usr/local/lib/perl/5.8.8 /usr/local/share/perl/5.8.8 /usr/lib/perl5 /usr/share/perl5 /usr/lib/perl/5.8 /usr/share/perl/5.8 /usr/local/lib/site_perl .) at /usr/share/koha/bin/migration_tools/rebuild_zebra.pl line 5. BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /usr/share/koha/bin/migration_tools/rebuild_zebra.pl line 5. It seems that it is not putting the path to C4 in the @INC. What am I missing. Thanks Ed Edward J.
