Dear all, Just looking to start use the Acquisitions > Purchase Suggestions feature in 3.20 and I need some help ... We have some catalogue records without item(s) that may have been deleted earlier. The current purchase suggestion form caters for titles that the library has never held previously. If we use the form, how do we link the entry to an existing bibliographic record? How do you manage titles that already exist in your catalogue?? Looking forward to your response. Holds on items waiting to be pick-up or in transit

Hello, I think there's an issue with the possibility to place a hold on items waiting to be pick-up or in transit when you choose that on shelf holds are not allowed. In this case, items are not checked-out so there are considered to be available. But, they aren't, they are not on a shelf ready to be chosen by a patron but stored aside. So, other patrons should place a hold on it as they couldn't go on shelves to take it. I have been testing it on a master and it's the same behaviour. So, I have 2 questions : 1. Does everybody share the same logic than me? 2. There's a bug describing this problem (http://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=4319) but the status is reopened and the patch had been pushed in 2011. Should we open a new bug? Upgrade 3.00.xx to 3.20

Is this a valid method to upgrade from 3.00.xx to 3.20 ?? Or have there been database changes that would kill this idea?? ********************************************************************************** I have upgraded from 3.00.xx ( do not remember which) to 3.4. The process was a bit contorted though, since it involved change of hardware. 1. Installed Debian on the new system, 2. installed Koha 3.4, (as if it was a new install), 3. "Restored" the sqldump from the old installation. 4. Started Koha. Koha script did the required things at first login. ***************************************************************************** or is apt-get update apt-get install koha-common still a valid option ??
