by Nicole Engard 01 Feb '16

01 Feb '16

Hello all, I updated this page in the manual http://manual.koha-community.org/3.24/en/kohasearchindexes.html because there were many indexes not listed in there. Would index experts please take a look to make sure I caught all of the indexes? Thanks a ton! Nicole

Big Koha Migration of Turkey
by مسعود محمد الشريف 30 Jan '16

30 Jan '16

I support Barton's idea; the Koha Migration of Turkey story needs to be promoted to become the success story of Koha community worldwide. I wish we can have a 1 to 2 pages brochure about the story to use for marketing Koha. Thank you Turkey. Thank you Koha community. Massoud AkShareef. Wiki certificate
by Paul A 29 Jan '16

29 Jan '16

For wiki.koha-community.org, Opera has started giving a SSL Error: Your connection is not private You attempted to reach wiki.koha-community.org, but the server presented an invalid certificate. You cannot proceed because the website operator has requested heightened security for this domain. Firefox (verified by "Let's encrypt") does not stumble. Is this purely an Opera foible? There seems to be a fair amount of "web chatter" about "Let's encrypt" being temperamental on Ubuntu. Thanks -- Paul

LC Name Authorities - Bulk upload LC database file into Koha Authorities module?
by Craig Butosi 29 Jan '16

29 Jan '16

Hi all, I've been curious for a while now if anyone has successfully bulk-uploaded into Koha (3.20 or newer) one of the free LC Name authority database files available through the Library of Congress: http://id.loc.gov/download/ I wonder if it's even possible given the file formats in which these files are available (n-triples, rdf/xml, Turtle, etc). It looks like some sort of conversion would be required before uploading into the Koha authorities module. It would be lovely to bulk upload a Name authority file direct from LC rather than Z39.50'ing individual authorities. Can anyone share how they may (or may not) have accomplished this? Thanks everyone, Craig Butosi, MA, MLIS, B Mus (Hons.) New Manual Branch
by Nicole Engard 29 Jan '16

I have branched the manual for 3.24. There is now a 3.22 branch and master should match master of Koha. http://git.koha-community.org/gitweb/?p=kohadocs.git;a=summary Thanks Nicole PS. I think some work needs to be done on translate.kc to point to the right places and generate the right PDFs.
