Remove the password option in patron attributes

Hello everybody, I'd like to get opinion on the password option available in patron attributes. Initially this field was created to allow patrons to use an alternate password to login, but it has never been implemented. I have suggested to remove it on bug 12267 as we don't use it internally and as it's a bad idea to use a password stored in clear text. Hi, I was creating a Patron card on KOHA but it seems there's a problem. Open the Pdf file its only the Pictures and the barcode display where the Firstname and surname not displaying. Can anyone please identify the problem Kind of Regard Vao

Koha Export ISBN

Hi all, Running into something that seems like it should be simple, but I'm running in circles trying to figure it out -- is there a simple (or not simple) way to export a document containing titles, authors, and isbn numbers? In truth, all I really need are the isbns -- stocktaking and inventory exports don't seem to include isbn numbers as a field. I could make a "List" and export that as csv, but I want ALL the isbns in my library, in which case it seems like i'd have to add all titlesmanually to a list. So, in short, my goal is: a document, preferably CSV, containing all isbns in my koha library of approx 3000 items. Any tips? Many thanks, Daniel

Koha in school library

Hi all I have cancelled my existing ILS to switch to Koha in our school library. Unfortunately I had to give a year's notice to terminate the contract, but on the plus side it gives me more time to set up Koha properly before making the switch. So far, our IT team have set up Koha on the server, and I have been able to load existing students to the system. My main difficulty is going to be importing our existing catalogue. I can export the basic data from our current ILS in an Excel spreadsheet, but not marc format. I know I can convert from Excel to marc21 using MarcEdit, but I am not yet familiar enough with the marc system to understand how to do this. I would be very grateful for any advice. Also, is there any way of importing barcodes of existing holdings at the same time, or does this have to be done manually after the catalogue records have been imported? Many thanks.

Z39.50 server finds the records but delivers no fields

Hi all I'm trying to use my koha instance as a Z39.50 server. I uncommented the statements in /etc/koha/sites/_mysite_/koha-conf.xml. The sever is up. I can search the records. They are displayed but without any field-data. Only the LDR is displayed. Where is my mistake? Beda

Problem when restore backup

Fundraising - Proposed rules for THT Grants Committee

Following discussion at the General IRC meeting on 6 April the Fundraising Committee proposes changes to the draft Grants Committee rules <https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Fundraising>: 1. Replace: "1e Any one library, organisation or company (including a Listed Koha Support Company) may have only one principal, employee or contractor serve on the Committee at any given time." with: "1e Any one library, organisation or company (including a Listed Koha Support Company) may have only one individual (e.g. a principal or full-time, part-time, or contract employee) serve on the Committee at any given time. 2. Replace: "3a ... invited in the current quarter." with "3a ... invited in the current period." 3. Replace: "3j With the exception of receiving reports under 3h, ..." with: "3j With the exception of receiving reports under 3i, ..." Koha delete Item type

Hi Koha Team, After installing Koha 3.20 on Ubuntu 14.04 and setting up libraries and items type and other necessary customization of modules, I did a mistake on Item type which I would like to delete one of the Item type. I found the mistake after doing a catalogue test to one of the item and I wanted to delete the item type but I could not. I got the message saying; cannot delete item type. The record is used 1 times. Deletion is not possible. Can someone help to advice simple way to delete the item type or has someone have similar issue before that advice. Thanks and appreciate any feedbacks so I can start complete the Koha setup. Decka PNG
