UBUNTU UPGRADE DISABLED APACHE2 AND KOHA
by Boulier, Jack 17 May '17

I made the mistake of upgrading to Ubuntu Xenial and somehow the software for Koha no longer are available from a web browser. I have concluded that the problem seems to be in the Apache2 application. I am receiving the following error messages: ● apache2.service - LSB: Apache2 web server Loaded: loaded (/etc/init.d/apache2; bad; vendor preset: enabled) Drop-In: /lib/systemd/system/apache2.service.d └─apache2-systemd.conf Active: failed (Result: exit-code) since Tue 2017-05-16 14:46:56 PDT; 17min ago Docs: man:systemd-sysv-generator(8) May 16 14:46:56 ubuntu apache2[19130]: * The apache2 configtest failed. Re: [Koha] Deleting all records in Koha
by Pedro Amorim 16 May '17

If I select the record from the search I get an error 404 stating that the requested page is not available. That's the expected behavior, means the original removal from the database worked as intended. I also reindex zebra with the command #: sudo koha-rebuild-zebra –f –v instancename as shown in the attached file and the same problem occurs. Now this is weird. In the attached file everything seems in order and running with '-f' means it will clean the original index and run through the whole records table. What happens if you create a test biblio record and run the same command again? Deleting all records in Koha
by Davian Cooper 15 May '17

I want to get rid of all the records in koha, not all the records had accession numbers when they were imported so the batch delete is not effective. Tried truncating the tables in MySql but when I search the OPAC, the records still appear as if nothing was done to remove them. Can anyone assist on how to truly delete all the records from koha? changing the font color for printing account fines
by schnydszch 15 May '17

15 May '17

I would like to ass if any one has done or has idea on changing the font color for printing account fines? I'd like to change the color of the printed page from green to black because the library that is printing the account fines receipt uses a not-so new printer (primitive you may call it, not sure if it's dot matrix). It won't print properly if the color is green or any other color aside from black, and green is the color printed in printing receipt for Account fines. Maybe someone or somebody already did this thing, can you please point me on what to modify in the system preference (css, js?), or lead me to what I should read in order to modify it. Thanks in advance! -- View this message in context: http://koha.1045719.n5.nabble.com/changing-the-font-color-for-printing-acco… Sent from the Koha-general mailing list archive at Nabble.com.

Customizing Labels in Label Creator -- Help
by Boulier, Jack 12 May '17

12 May '17

I am attempting to bring in several of the Koha fields from the cataloging side into my labels. I am able to collect items from the Marc21 record without any problems. But I cannot seem to get the syntax for exporting the Koha fields such a s the 8 field, or the alpha fields below it. Your documentation states the all Koha fields are available, but I can only place fields that are one word. I would also like to create a custom print label that would fit a sheet that has two columns, in column/row there are two spine labels and 4 book pocket labels. This is PRD # H43602, SKU# 14216850 from DEMCO. There are five rows to a sheet. The sheet is 8.5" X 11". I have research this through the documentation, on-line help, and just did my homework, but I am unable to configure a means of resolving the problem. Thanks for any suggestions, Jack Jack Boulier Learning Resource Center Director MTI College 5221 Madison Ave. Sacramento, CA 95841 (916)339-4370 (916)339-0305 FAX
