hey ya Our small primary school runs Koha and would like to update it as it has not been done since it was installed years ago. Koha version: 3.14.01.000 OS version ('uname -a'): Linux debian 2.6.32-5-686 #1 SMP Mon Sep 23 23:00:18 UTC 2013 i686 GNU/Linux Perl interpreter: /usr/bin/perl Perl version: 5.010001 How do we go about updating to the latest version. I cant seem to find an update option anywhere. thanks Alex

Hello all, it would be nice to have some meeting about the GDPR and data privacy in Koha. With GDPR going to take effect in May, there is not too much of time to adapt our systems and proccesses. The subject of meeting should be disscusion about things documented on Koha wiki [1] and to share our experiences with GDPR implementation. payment for lost item not showing on account

Hi all, We have an issue with (at least) 1 patron that we have discovered. The issue as far as I can see..goes something like this: Patron checked out book Patron lost book. Circ marked book as lost, and applied the correct fine ($10.00) Patron paid fine. ...the issue is, the fine and lost book show on the patron account (in red text) , and the patron balance shows as "$.0.00" This is correct. ....but ...... nowhere in the patron record does it show the $10.00 payment for the lost book? Are we looking in the correct spot ? Seems that the patrons payment for the lost item should show somewhere in their history / account ? Thank you, -Scott Owen

Deleted the Admin User - Can't Login

Hi, I have accidentally deleted the Admin User Patron from the Patron List. Now I can't login to the Admin Panel in Koha. - How can I recover back? - How can recreate the User in Koha? - Is there any way to add the User to DB or through Scripts? Help needed. -- Best Regards, Balaji Ravichandran

Z39.50 authority server anyone?

Hello, I'm trying to set up my Koha as a Z39.50 server. So far I can serve biblio data, but can't serve authorities. Has anybody achieved a working configuration? Cronjob Settings Help ?

Hi, What is the correct procedure to use cronjobs for sending emails. With the package method installation of Koha 17.11.11 on Ubuntu 16.04 Server, postfix smtp setup has been done. I have a Koha instance called "igntucl" and koha user created as '"gntucl-koha" And cronjob entries are found in crontab.example @ * /usr/share/koha/bin/cronjobs* Should this be run as: crontab -u root crontab.example or crontab -u igntucl-koha crontab.example ? and crontab.example is edited for pointing to koha-conf.xml location export PERL5LIB=/usr/share/koha/lib export KOHA_CONF=/etc/koha/sites*/igntucl/*koha-conf.xml crontab -e (accessed from root user) shows __KOHA_USER__ $KOHA_CRON_PATH/ process_message_queue.pl But still I am getting error as: unable to locate Koha configuration file koha-conf.xml at /usr/share/koha/lib/C4/Context.pm line 243. Can anyone please help me how to solve this problem? How to snapshot / restore a Koha Database?

Gentle Reader, I need to deliver multiple Koha training sessions for several groups of volunteers who work on our front desk. I'll be setting a specific series of tasks and it will be much easier if I can "reset" the database to a previous checkpoint before each session so we can re-run the same tasks. So ... I've tried the sequence koha-dump / koha-remove / koha-restore; I got a list of "File exists" errors when I did the koha-restore (mostly in /var/lib/koha/stand, where "stand" is my instance name). These didn't trouble me too much but I then had to fix a missing /etc/apache2/sites-enabled/stand.conf and a missing /var/log/koha/stand directory before apache would start up. Now, when I try to log in I get a perl error about an unblessed reference in /usr/share/koha/lib/Koha/Database.pm (line 56). This is getting too deep into the code for me to have much hope of debugging it, so before I spend more time on this (or give up entirely) does anyone have any advice on the right command sequence (with the right options) that I can use to achieve this in a clean, pain-free way?
