Requesting opinions on proposed change to AuthDisplayHierarchy

Thanks to everyone who weighed in on my question about the cataloging interface. I have another one: If the AuthDisplayHierarchy system preference is turned on, hierarchies of authority records are displayed via a JavaScript plugin which makes a collapsible tree of authority links. I propose that this be replaced with a static, CSS-styled tree. Are authority hierarchies often so "deep" that having a collapsible display is preferred? If so, could clicking to show or hide the entire tree be a viable alternative? 'timeout' changed

I guess I've made a stupid mistake and now cannot correct it. While fixing settings in the Global systems preferences under Administration I've changed in the 'timeout' line the '1d' to '1h', hoping that this will reduce the timeout from one day to one hour. However, it seems to have reduced it to one second! And I can do nothing in the system because of such short time. While now trying to change it back - as soon as I try to save the change it says, Error, change possibly not saved. I guess I'm simply not quick enough to do it all in one second! Please help me to fix it back to 1d. Katharina Penner

It would be interesting to include some basic facts and figures: * How long has Koha been in existence? * How many libraries around the world are using it? * How many active developers are there? Dear All, I need your help in koha plugin setup. I followed this blog for koha plugin cover flow. http://kohageek.blogspot.com/search/label/plugins I followed all the steps. But When I upload the plugin, I am getting the following error. *Cannot unpack file to the plugins directory.Please verify that the Apache user can write to the plugins directory.* Please help me to fix the problem. Hi Hira, if you are using Koha's tools for backup, it will dump all the data in your database, including the configuration. But it's always good to take a look at the files created by backup and test them. Software errror - Can't call biblio on an undefined value

Hi Ian getting the below error when I open a member record and it is happening only for few records; Software error: Can't call biblio on an undefined value at /use/share/koha/lib/c4/members.pm line 767 Koha version 17.11 on Ubuntu mariadb. This error is not there in koha 16.05 for the same record. Pls help me how to resolve the error. Regards Suresh kumar
