Koha database recovery from crashed disk

My client's server hard disk crashed. They had not made any backups since the use of Koha ILS. So my option was to recover database from MySQL database files (copy from old to new installation). But the problem i am having is that on loading the staff client interface, the web installation restarts and after selecting defaults, i get a Software Error like this: DBIx::Class::Storage::DBI::_dbh_execute(): Table 'koha_library.search_field' doesn't exist at /usr/share/koha/lib/Koha/Objects.pm line 110. I really need help.

942 c - that alone should tell you all you need to know about this question

Cataloging Gurus, What is the purpose of the 942 c? If we require all records to have an item record, and an item type in that record, what then is the purpose of the 942c? There are several places where it is noted that requiring the 942c is good practice, but I can't find anything on why. The Search Index section of the koha documentation lists: 942$c itemtype:w but I'm not sure what that means. Data Problem error

So one of my Koha boxes kicked this error up: _______________________________________________________________________ Data problems Some of your tables have problems with their auto_increment values which may lead to data loss. *You should not ignore this warning.* The problem is that InnoDB does not keep auto_increment across SQL server restarts (it is only set in memory). So on server startup the auto_increment values are set to max(table.id)+1. Announcing a new user feedback plugin for Koha ILS

Kia ora! The Koha OPAC is a rich environment that provides several facilities to its users. Many libraries around the world have built a complete digital presence (aka library portal) around it. Yet one feature that is missing natively in the Koha OPAC is an user feedback form. On the happy occasion of Janmasthami, I am pleased to inform you about release of a new Koha plugin - the AskALibrarian plugin that adds the ability to allows Koha's OPAC users to send a direct feedback to the library staff. Error: Invalid username or password after upgrade to 18.05

Dear colleagues, after upgrade from 17 to 18.05 I get error if I try to connect to Koha with the admin user. I have already tried to change the password in MySQL and then in koha-conf, but without result. With my admin user I can connect to the database over terminal. Maybe someone could help me resolve this error? Best regards, Eugen Bastron

ISBN display

Hello all, I understand that by MARC specifications the ISBN hyphens "may be system generated as display constants" and are not supposed to be carried in the MARC record: http://www.loc.gov/marc/bibliographic/bd020.html However all OPAC views show them without hyphens and I haven't found any system preference to switch them on. On the contrary, I found references to a patch to suppress them, at least in MARC view: https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=2592 What's the appropriate way to switch on hyphen display in Normal and ISBD views, if possible at all? I'm using Koha 18.05. Ruben
