Renew Date problem with koha 19.05

Hi All, Recently I am facing a problem while renew the checkout book in koha 19.05 . I allocated 14 days for loan period, But when i renew the book the system is not adding the loan period (current date + 14 days). system is showing current date. Is there any option to be change current system preference ?. Now the system preference is showing "RenewalPeriodBase: the current date" Regards, Dixson

Auto- increment problem reoccurred after machine restart

Hi Friends, recently I set up koha 18.05 versions on Ubuntu 18.04 and migrated data from local software after doing necessary marc editing. Everything worked well, however while checking for missing barcodes, I came across a good number of duplicate barcode, which I later deleted using batch item deletion module. In between I also edited lots of data having both minor and major corrections. Simultaneously I created patrons and checked for book check-in and check-outs and to my surprise, I was able to check-out books, but was not able to check-in. while looking for the reasons, the problem emerged of auto- increment with an exact error “The following ids exist in both tables issues and old_issues:”. While looking for solution, I came across “DELETE FROM old_issues WHERE issue_id IN (1, 2);” command and applied it after making necessary changes in numbers as per system information. This solution worked and I was once again able to check-in and check-out. But, the moment I restarted machine, the problem reoccurred and am still wondering for solution. Of late, I upgraded my machine to koha 19.05, but the problem still persists. I shall feel grateful, should you help me to fix this auto increment problem and do share the reasons, as what actuated this problem . Thanking you. There is no notice template with code ACQORDER defined

Hi Using Koha 18.11.01 on Debian GNU/Linux 9 we get the following error message, when clicking "E-mail order" in Koha menu "Acquisitions" in the basket of a vendor: There is no notice template with code ACQORDER defined. But actually the template "ACQORDER" is defined in Koha menu "Tools > Notices & slips" (it is a standard template anyway). It can also be found in table "letter". [KOHA] BATCH ITEM MODIFICATION BARCODES NOT FOUND

Dear colleagues, I updated the barcodes field directly from the koha_library items table in mysql successfully. From the browser, searching the barcodes from the catalogue is successful but the batch item modification gives the barcodes not found result. Barcodes edited through the browser are however found using the batch modification. How do I resolve this? Education: Koha education meeting highlights and recording

Hello everyone! The first community education meeting took place earlier today. There were a dozen in attendance and we had a great chat. Here are some highlights from the meeting: * We created a wiki page to share our training material https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Training_resources o Feel free to add to this wiki page, I already started with some resources that were shared during the meeting o If you add something, make sure to write the version of Koha it applies to. This is just to keep it the most up-to-date possible. * We also created a wiki page for how-to's or "step by step"'s https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/How-to o These will live along side the manual for people who need more structured instructions on how to do things in Koha o It's easier to edit than the manual, so more people can contribute o There is still the need to find a way to translate these if they are to be included in the manual eventually * We decided against creating a new mailing list for education and training as most of us are already swamped in emails and subscribed to too many listservs o We will use the regular Koha mailing list o However, it was suggested that we add "Education: " before the subject of the email. That way those of us who are interested in this topic will know to read those emails, and those of us who aren't interested in education/training can disregard the email or even create a rule in their email client to delete them automatically * Eventually, there will be example MARC records for all types of materials to help us with non-librarian library staff who do cataloging. * We also shared some best practices o We all loved koha-US' learning page, which organizes the community information in a more visual manner https://koha-us.org/learn-from-koha-us/ o ByWater do a "policy call" before the training to understand the library's setting and needs. This also helps with configuration. They have a survey that they use with that call to collect hard data from their clients for the configuration of Koha o Most support companies do the training on a test environment with the library's own data. This is kept until go-live so staff can practice. Some keep the test environment after go-live for tests, practice and training new staff. o ByWater tries to cater to all learning styles by giving the same information in different ways (videos, step-by-steps, in person training, etc.) I think that covers everything. Circulation rule by location

Is it possible to have a circulation rule that targets location? In the past, we've had a diarrhea of item types to encode both a location and the kind of item, and this really isn't ideal. We'd like to revise our circulation rules to target locations, and therefore simplify our item types. Koha Ldap Auth

Hi guys, I've an instance of Koha in lab test and I'm trying to enable ldap auth towards our active directory server (samba4 instance), but I'm experiencing some issues. Koha is correctly installed on an Ubuntu 16.04.6 LTS, fully updated. I read and followed this page [0], step by step, without any problems. Now, I've followed this step: 1. Open /etc/koha/sites/*biblioname*/koha-conf.xml 2. Enable LDAP: <useldapserver>1</useldapserver> 3.
