Hi. The reason for updating jquery is because the jQuery library in versions prior to 3.0.0 is vulnerable to Cross Site Scripting (XSS) attacks when a request is made type Ajax to other domains if the dataType option is not specified. It is specified in the jQuery Library vulnerable to XSS - CVE-2015-9251. So a patch should be released to cover this vulnerability for all versions of koha. I am currently using the version 18.11.05 Maintaining updated versions of the components on which koha depends (apache, mysql, jquery, java, perl, php, OS, etc.) allows us to have a secure system. Editing MARC Frameworks

Hi All, we are new to Koha, and have not been able to find an answer to this problem... We are trying to create MARC Frameworks for various record types, but cannot work out how to set the Leader 06 (Type of material), 07 (Bib level) and 008 fields to correctly define the materials. For example: Visual Material [VM] for our 'Art' framework: Leader position 06 = k Leader position 07 = m 008 field = position 33 = art original = a Continuing Resource CR for our 'Serials' framework: Leader position 06 = a Leader position 07 = s 008 field = position 21 = Periodical = p Can these data elements be hard coded into a framework? Source of acquisition

Hi all We're seeing some strange behaviour here (though not really that serious): When we order a book (for example) from an existing vendor, we get the booksellerid number (instead of the vendor name) appearing under Source of Acquisition in the item record. Has anyone else seen this behaviour? Does anyone know whether this might be because of some setting we might have switched? We're on 18.05. As far as Koha administration is concerned, what are the differences between Debian and Ubuntu? I know Ubuntu is said to be the easy version of Debian, but how does that translate into Koha? According to https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__wiki.koha-2Dcommunity.… the following distributions are currently supported: * Debian 8 (Jessie) * Debian 9 (Stretch) * Ubuntu 18.04 (Bionic) Personally, I think I heard or anyway I feel like the developers are usually using the newer Debian version (thus Debian 9) which results in a smoother installation process. I'm not sure if it's true but it seems to me even if Koha can be installed on Ubuntu or even some other Linux distributions, it will often need some extra effort to make it work on them. So if you're not absolutely depending on Ubuntu or any other distribution I would always recommend Debian GNU/Linux. Also just because Debian GNU/Linux is the base of Ubuntu anyway. Hope this helps. Problems searching callnumbers with Koha and ICU

Hi Folks Has anyone hit a problem searching callnumbers with Koha and ICU - specifically callnumbers with SPACE ' ' characters? An example problematic callnumber is 'PZ 7 .W663 1984' Or, has anyone had *success* searching callnumbers with ICU? :) Either way, I'd be curious to hear from you I tested on Koha 18.05.12 and Debian 9.8 Cheers, Mason
