Koha upgrade from 3.20.00.000 (2015) to any latest and stable version
Hello, Our library is planning to upgrade Koha from the version 3.20.00.000 to any Koha latest and stable version. - What Koha version do you recommend us ? - Could you please give us a complete tutorial, system requirements, and the things we have to do (backup ?, etc,) before starting the upgrade ? - Is it possible to upgrade directly from 3.20 (2015) to the latest version ? or we have to upgrade to lower versions before? Given that almost all Koha modules are up-to-date. Best regards, Walid -- *Sultan Qaboos Cultural Center Library* 1100 16th St, NW Washington, DC 20036 library@sqcc.org 202-677-3967, x104
You should be able to upgrade directly into the latest 18.11 version. I suggest you follow the instructions in the Wiki [1]. I suggest you do it on a clean server, and take notes on possible errors you might get in the process. Deal with those, and then proceed to a final migration. Kind regards El lun., 26 ago. 2019 a las 11:10, Sultan Qaboos Cultural Center Library (< library@sqcc.org>) escribió:

Thank you for your quick response. Another thing, what are the Koha 18.11 new features comparing with the Koha 3.20.00 ? Best, Walid On Mon, Aug 26, 2019 at 10:23 AM Tomas Cohen Arazi <tomascohen@gmail.com> wrote:

Hi
Another thing, what are the Koha 18.11 new features comparing with the Koha 3.20.00?
You will find them reading through the release notes since Koha 3.22: * https://koha-community.org/koha-3-22-released/ * https://koha-community.org/koha-16-05-released/ * https://koha-community.org/koha-16-11-released-2/ * https://koha-community.org/koha-17-05-released/ * https://koha-community.org/koha-17-11-released/ * https://koha-community.org/koha-18-05-released/ * https://koha-community.org/koha-18-11-release/ * https://koha-community.org/koha-19-05-release/ Best wishes: Michael -- Geschäftsführer · Diplombibliothekar BBS, Informatiker eidg. Hello, I just migrated a 3.20 installation to the latest version (I think it is 19.05?). Here is what I did: * Backup of the Koha database, from the 3.20 installation. * New Server, where i was going to deploy the new installation. * Install Koha on the new server, with the latest version. I made sure to use the same instance name so the database would have the same name. * After the package installation, I deleted the new koha database created by the setup. *I didn't go on to the web installer*. * Create a new, empty, database with the same name. * Restore the backup of the old koha database. * Use the *koha-upgrade-schema* to upgrade the database to the latest version. * Rebuild zebra index. At this point I got a few errors on the indexing here and there, but after the process finished, everything was working OK for my library. Hope this helps -- Sent from: http://koha.1045719.n5.nabble.com/Koha-general-f3047918.html
