Koha on Debian 10

Hi, I'm trying to install Koha on Debian 10. I've tried a number of walk through's such as https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Koha_on_Debian but I cannot get Koha working. Currently when I type in 127.0.0.1 or localhost (with 80 and 8080)I just get the Apache2 Debian Default Page. I had problems installing the database, I tried both MariaDB and MySQL but I got hit by endless dependencies. I got around the problem by installing MySQL separately. I've edited /etc/apache2/ports.conf and included Listen 80 and Listen 8080. I've tried the line sudo koha-create --create-db library and if I run it again it says User library-koha already exists. I didn't change Domain in /etc/koha/koha-sites.conf but I changed Intraport to 8080. What step am I missing? Can you help me out? Many thanks, Aindriú

Generate labels

Hi!I use Koha for an institutional library so I try to use the label generator but when I click on this part of the administrator interfaz, the page mak an error. Errors on new install Ubuntu 18.04 & koha 19.11

Hi I´ve started a new install of koha and when installing additional languages, I get the following errors. acornejo@CelacpVPS-2:~$ sudo koha-translate --install es-ES Connection to the memcached servers '__MEMCACHED_SERVERS__' failed. Upgrading ubuntu & koha

Hi We are going to move a server from ubuntu 16.4 to 18.4 and koha from 17.5 to latest stable. All this in a new machine to minimize downtime. Is there any special consideration to take care of? In my understanding, for the biblio DB, I only need to install base koha (command line part) an then copy the DB from the old system and do a DB upgrade. How do I move all other parameters like system preferences, custom css, js, etc? About the creation of the"super librarian" password, does this still needs to be done? Also in the wiki, there is a reference to a bug about a dependency not covered by koha. Is it fixed? Koha-a-thon will be an online-conference on April 23, 2020, beginning at the start of the day on the US east coast (13:00 UTC) to the end of the day on the US west coast (4:00 UTC, April 24) (Find out what time that is for you here <https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html?msg=Koha-US+Koha-a-th…> .) At this time we are asking for presentation proposals. If there's anything you'd like to talk about, please fill out the form at https://forms.gle/jRUQwJ4Tn4Qq862p8 Presentations can be as short as 10 minutes or as long as 60 on any topic related to Koha, or any other open source topics related to Koha, the Koha community, libraries, or anything else you think of as "Open." And if you'd like to submit more than one proposal, please do so. Some ideas from the conference committee: - Presentations from previous conferences. - Special workflows your library uses in koha. - A program your library does. - A development you are interested in getting more people on-board. Koha-a-thon will be free and open to anyone who wishes to attend and participate. Its entirety will be streamed live on YouTube and the content will be recorded so that anyone who wishes can view the presentations at a later date. Each staff-edit to a purchase suggestion triggers an email to the requestor.

Library users who make suggestions via their OPAC account are receiving an automated email each time Library staff dealing with the suggestion click the Save button, whilst in Edit mode. Say the staff member agrees to purchase the item, the ACCEPTED suggestion notice is sent. But if that staff member makes edits to the exiting suggestion, each time they click Save, the ACCEPTED email is again sent. Is there any way to stop this spamming? Kohacon20 registrations open!

Kia ora Ngā mihi o te tau hou pākehā. Happy New year. New year, new conference news! We had a ton of great submissions for talks, and we are working on a draft programme now. But we have opened registrations for the conference. https://2020.kohacon.org/posts/registration/ Bearing in mind there is no conference fee, please only register if you are planning to attend. Or if circumstances change so you can't attend please let us know. There is finite capacity at the venue and we would hate to turn away people and have empty seats. Non-existing value in system preference "borrowerRelationship"

Hi After completing a new installation of Koha 19.11.01 using a non-English (de-DE) webinstaller I found the following warning in Koha menu "About Koha > system information: "Die folgenden Werte wurden für Benutzerbeziehungen verwendet, existieren aber nicht im Systemparameter 'borrowerRelationship': * Wenn es sich bei der Beziehung um einen erwünschten Wert handelt, dann fügen Sie diesen dem Systemparameter 'borrowerRelationship' hinzu. Andernfalls bitten Sie Ihren Systemadministrator die Werte in borrowers.relationship und/oder borrower_relationships.relationship in der Datenbank zu korrigieren." In Englisch this means: "The following values have been used for guarantee/guarantor relationships, but do not exist in the 'borrowerRelationship' system preference: * If the relationship is one you want, please add it to the 'borrowerRelationship' system preference, otherwise have your system's administrator correct the values in borrowers.relationship and/or borrower_relationships.relationship in the database." When trying to add a new patron the following relationships can be chosen: "[empty line]" and "Vater" and "Mutter". The system preference "borrowerRelationship" actually looks like "Vater|Mutter". If I change the system preference "borrowerRelationship" to "|Vater|Mutter" the warning goes away, but now the following relationships can be chosen: "[empty line]" and "[empty line]" and "Vater" and "Mutter" (thus TWO empty lines at the beginning).
