Deletion of books from purchase suggestion

Hello Can we restrict patrons to delete the record of those books which is recommended by him/her but now it is available/ordered?. It will help to maintain the records of the requester permanently in the system. Presently system allows patrons to delete the books online which they have request although it is ordered/available in the library. Hello, It was not me, and I do not understand what your problem is. You get a foreign constraint error when the item is inserted into the DB, which mean data you are trying to insert is not valid. In your case it refers to the homebranch, so you should either correct the homebranch value before you insert the item, or create a new library. Also, we still do not know the exact version of Koha you are using. If you are on 17.05 you must use the latest, 17.05.14 Regards, Jonathan PS: Please avoid cross-posting. Using bulkmarc in update mode

Hello I need to use the bulkmarcimport tool to update records with new data from a marcxml file, so that for each record in the marcxml file, the biblionumber of the updated record in the database matches the key given in the 001 control field of the imported marcxml record, respectively. I know about the -update option, but how do I set the matching criterion as being the 001 marcxml field against the biblionumber database field? Can you help me please? Modifying cart

Hi fellow Koha users, Our readers send us from time to time a 'Cart' from the online catalog to reserve one or a few books. Is there a way to modify which fields are sent through with this 'Cart'? For example: - Field 020a (ISBN): can be ommited, has no relevance for us in this case. - Field 773t: is relevant when readers want to reserve an article, would be useful to have in our 'Cart'. I searched the manual but to no avail. We are using Koha version 18.11.09.000. Thanks for any advice. Hi All, I have just recently upgraded to 17.05 from 16.05 and when I try to edit items on Koha, it throws the following error "Can't call method "branchname" on an undefined value at /usr/share/koha/lib/C4/Biblio.pm line 1627". I search the archive online saw the advice to update the two fields<https://lists.katipo.co.nz/public/koha/2017-September/048966.html> (UPDATE items SET homebranch='LIB', holdingbranch='LIB'). I have done that and did the full reindex. But, that does not seem to have helped. Please advise. Many thanks, Bruck Tadesse

I don't have the technical / programming skills to understand if Bug 17385<https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=17385> (Add custom export formats for bibliographic records) would ultimately solve a problem I have been presented with. We are investigating methods of exporting data from the 999 MARC21 data fields into the 15 Dublin Core elements used by a digital archiving service we are implementing (Preservica). A small number of records in Koha have digital assets associated with them and we want those assets to be put into Preservica for preservation reasons. While Koha does currently allow for record by record export in DC, the current one-at-a-time export functionality does not see the DC fields in Preservica being fully populated. For example the Koha biblionumber is included in the filename of the export file, rather than populating the Dublin Core <<identifier>> element. We have approached our support company PTFS Europe about this development proposal. We are thinking along the lines of having the Tools >> Export feature offering a new export format being the Preservica DC format (or ideally an easily configured DC export for more general use).
