Documentation Team, where you at?

Hi Everyone! The vote for roles for the 20.11 cycle is happening tomorrow May 13 (or later today, if you live in the future a.k.a. Oceania). But no one signed up for the Documentation Team... :( Joining the Documentation Team is a great way for librarians and Koha end-users to get involved in the Koha Community as it doesn't require any programming knowledge. It's also a great way to learn about new features! If you are unsure how to contribute, there is information on the wiki https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Editing_the_Koha_Manual and there is also a virtual hackfest presentation https://bywatersolutions.com/education/koha-virtual-hackfest-documentation Also, if you're afraid that signing up for the team is too big a commitment, don't worry about it. Dear Lisa and everyone, Lemonjar team is also manufacturer for all the library automation equipment. At the same time, we are also implementer and integrator for KOHA. We based in Malaysia. Having Self Check Kiosk is helpful in the library. It acts as a "staff/ agent" to allow patrons to borrow, return and even renew material by own. First, you need to see what is the main direction to have automation in library.. What I mean is for security or automation purpose. For security, definitely EM (Electromagnetic) and if for automation, then RFID (either HF/ UHF). Myself recommend for UHF. Perhaps can check our products at our website via https://www.lemonjar.com.my for further info. Aside of having standing Self Check Kiosk, Christ's idea is good too. If your library on RFID, you will need another item - RFID station to charge/ discharge the security tag. If your library is on EM, then you will need another item - EM Desk (Sensitizer/ Desensitizer) to arm and dis-arm the EM strips within books after circulation. That's the purpose of having kiosk (everything in 1 body).. so public can be orientate easily on the operation. Sharing you our implementation at one of the public library at Malaysia. "Advanced Search" mode

Dear List, Is it possible to add in the "Advanced Search" mode after the Search field, an extra button , clicking on which will open a drop-down menu with the predefined elements? Dear List, In the Koha version 19.11.02.000, in the cataloging modules, when "Advanced search" is active, on the right side of search filed 'Scan indexes' option is accessible. This is very useful option. In the version 19.11.04.000, the 'Scan indexes' is not present. is it possible to restore this option in all higher versions? Also, is it possible to include this option in the OPAC? thanks, Tigran

Hi Benjade, OpacNavRight was moved to the News tool. Tools > News and then in the location, you can choose OpacNavRight. Authorities Cataloging SIG recording up
