Opac not searchable after upgrading database from Koha 3.18 to 19.11

Hello everyone After upgrading a Koha database from version 3.18 to 19.11, I was not able to log in in the staff/administration of Koha as I obtained a "Software Error" message. However, I was able to get to the OPAC page (at http://localhost:8000/) but any search returned nothing. I checked with Phpmyadmin that the biblio table of koha_library was effectively filled with the data of the 3.18 database (which it was), but the search of strings that were present returned nothing. Does someone have encountered that problem and knows the solution? I am thinking of running in a terminal the command "koha-rebuild-zebra" but I prefer to listen to some sound advice first. tiny bit of help needed with report

Hello I apologise for the simplicity of this question but could really use some help. I want to use the Hourly report in the KOHA wiki for ‘Checkouts by Hour in Selected Date Range’ as below SELECT YEAR(statistics.datetime) AS Year, MONTH(statistics.datetime) AS Month, DAY(statistics.datetime) AS Day, HOUR(statistics.datetime) AS Hour, count(*) AS Checkouts FROM statistics WHERE statistics.datetime BETWEEN '2014-01-06 13:00:59' AND '2014-01-09 16:59:59' AND statistics.type = 'issue' GROUP BY Year, Month, Day, Hour However, I also need to add branch code as well so I can determine the number of checkouts by library but I am struggling to know what extra code to add? We have a problem with our MARCXML data in KOHA. The order of the fields must be changed for many records. The problem affects all records that are newly created or changed by us. All <datafield> elements must appear after the <controlfield> elements. So far the <datafield> element with the unique ID of the record (MARC field 999 $c) is placed before the <controlfield> elements. Migrating Koha database from version 3.18 to 19.11?

Hello everyone Our library has been using a Vietnamized version of Koha 3.18 since mid 2014, running on Ubuntu server 14.04 LTS. No upgrade of the system has been made since and the server had a hardware problem (mainboard) last February. We have a mysqldump of the Koha database (size about 1,8 GB). So what we are trying to do is to install the latest Koha version (19.11) on a fresh Ubuntu 16.04.6 LTS (Desktop) and then to replenish the empty Koha tables through SQL inserts in the tables using sql exports of the related fields from the old database. For that we have been comparing the structure of the tables of Koha 3.18 and 19.11 with the tool provided at http://schema.koha-community.org/ Can this way of proceeding, although tedious it might be, be successful or not ? Kohacon2020 will go ahead - online and in person

Kia ora koutou katoa, I hope you are all safe and well, wherever you are. The Kohacon team at Catalyst are excited to announce the following decision: we will go ahead with Kohacon2020. Kohacon2020 will be a hybrid online and in-person event, appropriate to the New Zealand and global rules on travel at the time. Following the success of the online Kohathon event, we realised that Koha storytelling, teaching, learning, planning and coding can happen, whether we are together online or in person. We already know that this is a strength of our project. Conference programme: - As much as possible, it will stay the same: https://2020.kohacon.org/posts/programme/ - We are thinking about live streamed presentations, streamed library tours and social events, workshops delivered using an online training platform, and we already have collaboration tools for us to work together on Koha - we'll just make sure everyone knows how to participate. Information for conference attendees: - If you would like to register as an online-only participant, you will hear more soon about how to register. We are very excited that the online element of the conference will make it accessible to more people. - We will keep in touch about NZ travel restrictions, to help you decide whether to plan attending in person. Documentation Team, where you at?

Hi Everyone! The vote for roles for the 20.11 cycle is happening tomorrow May 13 (or later today, if you live in the future a.k.a. Oceania). But no one signed up for the Documentation Team... :( Joining the Documentation Team is a great way for librarians and Koha end-users to get involved in the Koha Community as it doesn't require any programming knowledge. It's also a great way to learn about new features! If you are unsure how to contribute, there is information on the wiki https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Editing_the_Koha_Manual and there is also a virtual hackfest presentation https://bywatersolutions.com/education/koha-virtual-hackfest-documentation Also, if you're afraid that signing up for the team is too big a commitment, don't worry about it.
