Did anyone see or respond to following message a few days ago? I haven't seen a response and am seeing something similar with a windows install of koha-1.2.3 when in the Intranet module. Does anyone have an idea of what to check to resove this? checks MARC error

Hi, I just have installed Koha 1.9 and i have the error message below when i do "Parameters" > "checks MARC" holdingbranch NOT mapped the items.holdingbranch field MUST : # be mapped to a MARC subfield, # the correspounding subfield MUST have authorised value=branch I have set 'systeme preferences' marcflavour to UNIMARC. Marie, BarCode-1 is a good place to go to find out about bar codes. Standards, news, a bulletin board, shareware, and links are available. There are no products for sale, only unbiased information. http://www.adams1.com/pub/russadam/barcode1.html Libraries have a de facto standard for bar codes, at least here in the states. The 1st number is a 2 for patrons or a 3 for books. The next 4 numbers are for the institution. At one point in time some company was keeping track of them, but I think that stopped years ago. The next 8 numbers are in sequence. The last digit is a check digit. Most use codabar. Get samples for different companies since some are easier for the scanner to read than others. Assistance with configuring MARC relations...

I've been able to install version 1.90 of Koha, but after checking my MARC structure I received the following message from Koha: ====================== itemnum The field itemnum MUST be mapped The correspounding subfield MUST be in with -1 (ignore) tab the items.homebranch field MUST : homebranch NOT mapped be mapped to a MARC subfield, the correspounding subfield MUST have authorised value=branches the items.holdingbranch field MUST : holdingbranch NOT mapped be mapped to a MARC subfield, the correspounding subfield MUST have authorised value=branches TOTAL You have 3 error(s) in your MARC configuration. Please fix them before using koha ======================= Can someone please assist me in resolving this issue. OS = Redhat 7.3 (all patches) Koha = 1.90 (all modules installed properly) and sample database Any help would be appreciated. The koha 1.9.0 is born a few minuts agos. His parents, the koha-team, are very proud of this almost-stable children. The MARC acquisition part is now completly stable, and used in production in France since december. * Templating almost ended. Translations now avaible : french (almost finished), chinese, spanish, and polish * Circulation now works. * non ISO-5589-1 support (for chinese and polish) * improvements in marc import in breeding farm. * first draft of search in MARC-DB * librarian interface demo avaible at http://demo.koha-fr.org. Please note that by default this site should be in FRENCH. If you modify parameters, don't forget to put fr again in systemprefs ! This release is fairly stable, and the translation process is now on the road in french, polish, spanish and chinese ! The MARC management is really stable now, and the remaining bugs are located in circulation and members management. KNOWN LIMITS : ============= Install it from scratch : * upgrading from 1.3.3 is IMPOSSIBLE, due to DB diffs. * upgrading from 1.2.x is UNTESTED. ROADMAP : ======== Next version ------------------ The next version should be called 1.9.1.
