Hi, Does Koha Rest API support all functionalities of the SIP2 server? I wanted to use APIs to replace some functionalities currently implemented with SIP2 like check-in, checkout etc. I searched the API documentation but did not find any for check-in or checkout Thanks, Aswin

MARC modification templates w/ indicators?

Do MARC modification templates support changes based on, or to, MARC indicators? For instance, I'd like to change all instances of 856 _8 to 956 _ _. However, I don't see a clear way to specify or insert indicators w/ or w/o RegEx. Are the indicators considered part of the field data? I could do this with MarcEdit, but I'd rather just do it here. Translation platform sync delay: 2nd call to translators to prepare this month's minor release

koha ugrade from 3.22.21 to 19.05.17

I've upgraded empty koha(on ubuntu 18.04) from 3.22.21 to 19.05.17 using only the tarball file(without sudo apt-get install koha-common). Everything was nice - until I tried to login intranet site with a super admin account after a successful web installer procedure of upgrading the koha tables: "Error: Invalid username or password". I checked the koha-conf.xml file and the username and password were unchanged! What happened with koha - did the Memcached server change the settings? Error "500" on Opac

Being rather new to this list, I will apologize in advance if I'm mis-framing this question. After upgrading from Koha 20.05 to 21.05, I started receiving an HTTP 500 error when an OPAC user clicks on a specific title in the list returned by a catalog search. This does not occur when doing a catalog search on the staff pages. I have looked through the various Koha logs, but cannot find any errors pointing to a script, or anything. Any ideas and suggestions of where to look for the cause and resolution of this would be helpful. Many Thanks! Bruce Yelen

Local use preference OPACviewMARC doesn't switch off?

As an experiment, we thought we'd switch this off because there's some information in the MARC record that we need internally but would rather it wasn't displayed in the OPAC. However, when I switched OPACviewMARC off and saved the change, it didn't seem to make a difference. Is there something we need to run behind the scenes to make this work? Usually when I make changes it's visible immediately. Handling SELECT with Empty Input

On the next and subsequent runs, I included a date, and it ran perfectly well. My question is this: is it possible to test for input and substitute a default value. With IF, WHILE, etc. statements, program application code handles this sort of thing well. SQL, I don't know. It might look like the following in pseudo SQL code picking up from the SQL: WHERE (items.dateaccessioned = <<Which collection?|ccode>> BUT IF items.dateaccessioned IS NULL THEN items.dateaccessioned = TODAY) AND (items.ccode = <<Which collection?|ccode>> BUT IF items.ccode IS NULL THEN items.ccode = THIS_COLLECTION) AND (items.location = <<Which shelving location?|loc>> BUT IF items.location IS NULL THEN items.ccode = THIS_LOCATION) in order to avoid a software error. A conditional input check, so to speak. (BUT, IF, and THEN are my pseudocode extensions to SQL statements.) I know this is partly built on my limited understanding of SQL and I probably hope against hope. That's fine; I'll just make sure the staff are taught to select something from the dropdown menus or enter something in textboxes if te want to avoid the software error. If it's possible in a Perl routine or, dare I say, required in a Perl routine, I'll try to teach myself enough Perl to do the Perl analog to something like this with the understanding that in future editions of Koha, the schema and structure may change enough to render the Perl routine obsolete.
