If someone wants to drop coherent suggestions in my ear as to what would be handy to add at least as far as formal manual goes..., I can put 'em in my to do list behind the 'correcting-the-ugly spots in the manual for 2.0' and 'updating the FAQ' items. Hi again, Unfortunately, I've had the opportunity to look into this further over the weekend, and I don't think I'll be using Koha. It would require substantial customization to meet my needs, and I'm no expert at Perl or the Koha source code. Instead, I put together some software over the weekend that handles the requirements I had. The biggest needs I had that Koha wasn't providing were loaning of bulk items (where I have one database entry for, say, a few hundred identical items, and members can check out whatever quantity they need) and tracking the distribution of consumable items that don't need to be returned. It also would have been a pain to remove all the due date tracking from Koha, which I also don't want. Guess I'm not close enough to a typical library. Oh well! KOHA 1.2.3

Hello, if someone could shed some light on the retrieval side of Koha, boolean operators etc. as mentioned below that would be great. I'm interested in knowing if Koha 1.2.3. has boolean operators or a search system by subject that is known to anyone. I have found that AND is the only operator that can be used to group subjects etc. Can anyone shed some light on this. I am only working voluntarily so haven't had a chance to go very far with this to date. Also, in Dewey classification, the Class and Subclass. How are people getting on with periodicals when there may be letters and numbers in the subclass. We can only use numbers/letters pertaining to each division respectively. We have struck a few problems, potentially bugs, but overall very happy with Koha and are hoping to upgrade to KOHA 2. whenever it is released. Does anyone know when Koha version 2 will be released.
