barcode questions

these, hopefully, are pretty easily answered questions. how do i add multiple barcodes in a single record that will reflect multiple copies of the same book. how do i add multiple barcodes in a single record that will reflect multiple volumes of a set. and then... any recommendations for this little problem. in our psychology library, we have tests that consist of multiple components, which we would like to barcode. is it possible that under 1 record (let's just say for a rorschach test) i could have a barcode that might specify a box of card and another that might be placed on a booklet, and another that might be placed on a set of scoring cards? marc import

hi everyone, i've got several files of marc records i downloaded from oclc. i would like to do a bulk import, but have been reading about the need to add a 952 subfield. will i need to change something in these oclc records? or can i just do a bulk import? i'm pretty sure they're all sitting in the breeding area right now waiting to be uploaded, (must i do this one at a time?) Setting up branches in koha

Hi, I'm trying to set up a holding branch without success, items are listed as held in the Allan Bean Centre Library not the new location/branch How have other libraries set up their branches? When I checked system preferences I noted the following see below. How can I rectify this? Constant Login Problem

Greetings, I set up Koha on a Windows box yesterday and was having a problem logging in using cookie authentication. The login screen would accept the default user/password, and log the user in, but every time a link was clicked, the login screen would reappear. I installed Koha without the sample data - when I reinstalled with the sample data, the login worked correctly, even when changing to the blank database. Searching on gmane indicated other people have had a similar problem, but I could not find a resolution on the list. Could not get a threaded view of the posts :-( Also - I did not have much in the way of tools on the windows machine - spent a lot of time just finding the configuration files etc - so could not really track down the problem. Anyway - has anyone come up with a resolution? Is installing the sample data significant? Internal server error when trying to print barcodes

I'm trying to set up Koha for our school library. I've got the basics working except I get an internal server error when I go to printer configuration when trying to print barcodes. I tried to update the pdf::api2 to the latest version which is .51 but the problem didn't go away. A copy of my Apache server errror log follows. Thanks in advance for any help. AMS (MSC) public sources?

Hello Everybody, I am working at installing Koha for IMAR (Institute of Mathematics of the Romanian Academy), and it is highly important for them to configure Koha to allow AMS (MSC) dictionary search. Question about Automatic E-mail.

I am the library coordinator for the GLBTSSS office at IU, and we started using Koha this year. Thus far I cannot get anything to automatically send e-mails. My office e-mail is set as the Administrator e-mail in the system Parameters, but nothing ever e-mails to my. I am not the person who maintains the Koha server, though I do all of the interface Administration (biblio entry and maintenance, circulation, and reports). I would like it if I was sent an e-mail when a suggestion is made, when an item is put on reserve, and I would like e-mails automatically sent when I adjust a suggestion. I have seen some of these automatic e-mailing situations mentioned in bugfixes and documentation, but I cannot get our server to do any of it. Any help in this arena will be greatly appreciated. Dear users, While working with Koha, librarian can`t determine who is hold a particular copy of a book. It make some difficulty in circulation work. Any changes in preferences can solve this problem? or if this feature not available in current version of Koha, it is an essential feature to be supported by future Koha. I work in a small rural elementary school in Michigan, USA. I run windows machines in our school and have played around with Linux. Is Koha too complicated for someone like me to install for our library automation software? Do you know of any Koha users in Michigan? Thanks, Brad
