Hello, I`m wondering how I could (,if it`s possible,) do Marc-imports from a text-file. I have about 1000 Marc-posts listet in a text-file seperated with the sign ^. I`ve read most of the guides I found on the KOHA documentation-site without getting any wiser regarding this kind of import procedure. All the best Kim Tallerås

Marc-Structure wrong

Hi all I'm setting up KOHA. Doing the MARC-Check I get the result: OK itemnum : the field itemnumber is mapped to a field in tab -1 item fields ALL items fields MUST : be mapped to the same tag, and they must all be in the 10 (items) tab Item tag There is more than 1 MARC tag related to items tab (10) : 952,995, OK itemtypes table filled with at least 1 value OK biblioitems.itemtype defined OK branch table filled with at least 1 value OK homebranch defined OK holdingbranch defined OK biblionumber and biblioitemnumber mapped correctly OK no NULL value in frameworkcode TOTAL You have 2 error(s) in your MARC configuration. Using Koha

We have installed KOha and are trying to use it for our library. We have some problems using MARC tags. We seek your help for the same. Are the tags below 010 required? If so does Koha recognize it? Also since we have not used Marc, we would like to know how do we enter data. For example, should the title be entered as 245 10 $a Computer Science OR Computer Science. Do we need to enter anything in the tag 000 or is it machine generated. --Trupti (koha user from India)

Dear All, Recently, I installed the CVS version of Koha,my interest was to have the spine label, but I got the print preview and generated PDF file blank! also I tested the koha at http://koha.liblime.com <http://koha.liblime.com> , the result was the same, it seems I forgot to do something, so any comments or help is appreciated.
