Hi friends,I have finished everything about Koha installation and I included the /etc/koha-httpd.conf file in to /etc/apache2/apache2.conf file and added Listen 8000 and Listen 8080 lines. while i am reloading the apache server which is on ubuntu 6.06, i faced the following problem user@ubuntu:/etc/apache2$ sudo /etc/init.d/apache2 force-reload * Forcing reload of apache 2.0 web server... -apache2: Could not determine the server's fully qualified domain name, using 127.0.0.1 for ServerName -apache2: Could not determine the server's fully qualified domain name, using 127.0.0.1 for ServerName please help me. --------------------------------- Talk is cheap. Virtual Host + Intranet

I'm having a problem with virtual hosts and can't get to the Intranet part of Koha. OPAC works fine. My problem is that I have Web Services, IIS, and Tomcat running on the same internal server (actually my PC). So I can't use 127.0.0.1 as the IP to Koha. I have set it up in httpd.conf as the actual IP of my PC at port 8083 (as ports 80, 8081, and 8082 were used). I set up Listen on IP:8083, and ServerName as IP:8083 (where IP is my PC IP). I left the VirtualHost as is, although I think I should be changing these, but the default works so why not intranet? My IT support can't help at this stage as the ILS project isn't currently an active project and Apache is not supported. I'm looking at Koha to gain some experience with ILSs as our research library currently doesn't have a Library system. Can anyone help me with this? I'm an ex-programmer (many many years ago) but now a Business Analyst with just technical smarts to get myself into trouble. Thanks,

Problem in Koha on Windows

hi all, I am using the Windows version of Koha. Though I have defined the Branch Libraries in the Parameters Section, I get the following error when i use the 'Branch Transfer' option in the Circulation Menu: Software error: $branch not defined at c:/usr/koha224/intranet/modules/C4/Circulation/Circ2.pm line 1023. Item Type problem

Hi We are having a problem with our item types. From what I can see the item types information is stored in biblioitems.itemtypes. Our items types are long term, short term, Reference and audio visual. These item types are used to define the loan characteristics. This information is stored in 995Z in our export from our current system (Alice/Oasis). The item type is linked to each individual item along with its barcode, location etc. We have all of our tab 10 items in 995. We cannot get Koha to recognise this as an item type as it is in the items table as opposed to the biblioitems table. It needs to be in 952b as far as we can figure out. If we define is as being biblioitems.itemtype then it can't be in tab 10 or 995. What can we do to fix it? We have set the borrowing rules but nothing can be lent until koha can recognise the item type! Please help. truptee -- There is a document at http://kohadocs.org/corpSerials/corpSerials.html which might be helpful for working with serials. It actually applies to the Corporate Serials module developed by Katipo Communications (currently available only through CVS), but there are many similarities between the Katipo module and the serials module in the current Koha release. Dear Yared; It is fine to hear words of success in instakking and configuring Koha.
