Koha for school districts

Is it possible to use Koha for all the school libraries within a county? Would it be possible to then tie the county libraries in with the school libraries - but you would need to separate the several school branches from the several county branches - they are two separate entities. Anyone in a school can get the book from any other school and the county library system, but non-students are limited to county libraries. What is the Koha Records Limit for Koha 2.2.8? We are planning to install Koha 2.2.8 on Windows. We have about 600,000 biblio records. The Patrons are around 6,000. We can decide whether we allow virtual bookshelves or not. Does Koha 2.2.8 measure up to handle the transactions? Are there any parameters that have to be configured for this type of load? What is the quickest way to add about 75 new names to the Member's list, I am filling in for the regular media center person and I do not want to put the names in one at a time if possible. Shalom, I am trying to produce some statistics reports from "Accounts and Reports". Most of the reports are working properly except below two types: Catalog Statistics-Catalogue by itemtype Circulation Statistics-Issues by borrower categor I got "500 Internal Server Error" when clicking them. Several concerns

1) Has anyone been able to get the picture import feature for koha 2.2.8 to work on windows? If so, what did u do? 2) I was playing with the system preferences and was wondering how do I link stylesheets to the system? They're asking for a complete URL. DO i need to upload a ccs file to the web, then type the web address, or would giving the file path work just fine? 3) What does branch independence mean? It is a system preference falling under 'Others'. 4) Is there any special way for typing the file paths of images and ccs files so they are picked up by the system? An example would help. 5) What is template encoding and the difference between iso-8859-1 and utf-8. If anyone knows any of the answers, just place the number and your response plz. I just don't know what would be the correct system variable for the parameter I wish to set some preferences for. Can any one help? LDAP and Windows AD problems

Hello; I am trying to use ldap to authenticate users. I believe I have read and used nearly every solution that people have posted. I have gotten to the point where I do not receive ldap authentication errors in the opac-errors log. However, when I go to OPAC or the Administration main page I get no log in options. OPAC works, but there is no place to log into your account. The Administration page pops me to the initial page but trying to go anywhere in administration says "KOHA doesn't think you have permissions to do that", but no logon is available. I switch back to the original auth.pm and all is fine. Any ideas? I have a number of other linux servers using LDAP to authenticate but they use an account to log in. I have tried the examples here for authenticated ldap access, but no luck. It would be great ot see an example from someone's "Local' settings of auth.pm that is successfully using a Windows AD with ldap to authenticate. And I did try to allow anonymous ldap queries on my AD server...no luck there either. Creating user accounts for librarians

I would like to find out how to change the master password for koha intranet. I tried going to the etc folder and opening the koha txt file where it specifies a few details about koha : database=blank228 hostname=localhost user=koha pass=koha intranetdir=c:\usr\koha228\intranet opacdir=c:\usr\koha228\opac kohaversion=2.2.8 opachtdocs=c:\usr\koha228\opac\htdocs\opac-tmpl intrahtdocs=c:\usr\koha228\intranet\htdocs\intranet-tmpl includes=c:\usr\koha228\intranet\htdocs\intranet-tmpl\default\en\includes I attempted to change the bold parameters above, but I was getting a server error when I tried to open the page. Other than that, I want to know how to create separate accounts for librarians so each could have their own log in info. Is is a system preference that I need to check to allow multiple accounts?
