ZOOM Compile Error

changing the config.log file for the Yaz toolkit install

i am having trouble with installing the yaz toolkit and i am prompted with this error configure: error: no acceptable C compiler found in $PATH See `config.log' for more details. or configure: error: C compiler cannot create executables See `config.log' for more details. what should i do next? what changes should be made to this file? ____________________________________________________________________________________ Building a website is a piece of cake. error installing yaz toolkit for koha on debian...help plz

Hello, In Koha 2.2.9, why are the HTML tags used to format the Libraryname diplayed on the title bar of the koha OPAC webpage? For example, if I set the preference to <h1> My Library </h1>, the formatting of the string on the Koha webpage is fine, but "<h1> My Library </h1>" is displayed on the title bar of the browser window (with the tags and all). koha 2.2.9: not available from inernet on its port

Hello, I installed Koha 2.2.9 on a machine running Ubuntu (I am going to show it to a small community library to convince them to use this application). All seems to have gone well, however the virtual web server part is giving some problems. The machine in questions is already running a web server on port 80. So I configured Koha to listen on ports 8000 and 8001. Gday Kohaers Yea I have been using and working with Koha in a library in a remote school just outside Wewak in PNG. We have no internet connection so I have to download all the perl modules manually. I have a few thoughts and suggestions. Firstly that Koha should come with a FULL INSTALL option. I have to download each file manually off a dial up connection. So when a perl module changes and no one knows I am left with a broken system making upgrades very difficuld. Since perl modules seem to have no stability at all in relation to KOHA can I suggest that we have a Full install (ie a version of KOHA + all perl librarys that are known to work with it). Secondly My librarian is very dissapointed with the package. She really lamented not sending for payed software due to numerous bugs in Koha (namely the reports DON't work at all and seem to be tailored to a particular librarys needs). Though another bug is that when you delete a item in koha 2.25 you still have the biblioitem remain. Now this bug is very common throughout Koha as there seem to be allot of linkage tables. ie Biblio - Biblio items - Items - etc. Another good example is where does the Dewey get saved I found three different places. What I suggest that to fix problem nr 2 is that we redo the database and normalise it. Ie work out the 1 to 1 and 1 to many relationships so that they interconnect properly. If we have situations like multiple publishers, etc that we ignore these and stick with a simplified database. Why do I say that, simple Koha is just too unreliable at the moment. Please do not hit above your weight. Simplify Koha and make it reliable. Features are great but only if they work and in Koha it's about 95% of the time. my Two cents. Problem installing ZOOM module

Hi, I'm installing koha 2.2.9 on debian 4.0(etch). I've only come across guidelines for 2.2.6 and 2.2.7 online: http://gslis.simmons.edu/mw/F06LIS488_20/Installing_Koha_2.2.6_on_Debian_Sa… And http://www.kohadocs.org/Installing_Koha_on_Debian_sarge.html I've followed the steps and have gotten up to the installation of Koha but the installation won't proceed since ZOOM is missing. I've tried installing ZOOM several times but I keep getting error messages such as: impossible to install make test had returned bad status I tried the installation using both : install ZOOM and force install ZOOM I even tried downloading the package from more than one website and followed the installation directions but still no luck.
