To, Respected All, I am installing KOHA on Windows, during the installation occurred the following error; Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@dummy-opac and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error. More information about this error may be available in the server error log. Hi There, I need the Library to become self sufficient in my absence and would like users (who are staff members) to be able to see who has an item out on loan, so its easy for them to approach the staff member. I was wondering if this was possible for users to see who has an item on loan under status for KOHA version 2.2.9, and if so how can I implement this on the system? Koha for consortiums (Steven Owley)

Hi Steve, There are several consortia I am aware of that are implementing Koha, including but not necessarily limited to Northeast Kansas Library System (my system), Southeast Kansas Library System, Central Kansas Library System, INCOLSA, MASSCAT, WALDO, ICAN (Ohio), and Big Country Library System (Texas). INCOLSA is maintaining a Koha consortia discussion list at koha-consort(a)incolsa.net . Please feel free to contact INCOLSA and sign up for that so you can post questions. We operate in a shared database environment in which users can place holds on items in all participating libraries. Libraries are essentially treated as branches. Individual have individual policy profiles except where only one global setting is allowed, but as much as possible they agree to share consistent policies regarding item types, circulation periods, etc. Libraries also use collection codes to identify collections within their libraries. I am making my own life miserable.... While installing koha 3 I accidentally somehow deleted koha 2.2.9 (Yes, yes, stupid, I know, luckily it's not the production server yet) So, I thought, big deal, I reinstall it (for the sake of updating from there to koha 3) but I keep getting this: Creating the MySQL database for Koha... ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'kohaadmin'@'localhost' (using password: YES) DBI connect('Koha:localhost','kohaadmin',...) failed: Access denied for user 'kohaadmin'@'localhost' (using password: YES) at /usr/local/koha/intranet/modules/C4/Context.pm line 411 Can't call method "prepare" on an undefined value at scripts/updater/updatedatabase line 1553. Problem updating database... I do have the password, I can login to mysql debian:/home/marty/koha-2.2.9# mysql -u kohaadmin -p Enter password: Welcome to the MySQL monitor. Commands end with ; or \g. So where do I enter the password? Or what could be wrong? I had Koha 2.2.9 running fine until I screwed up.... Marty

Hi! In the irc community meeting of sept 2008, Henri-Damien LAURENT announced that "minor revisions of 3.0.x will be packaged and released every two months." Currently, the koha download link points to http://download.koha.org/koha-3.00.00.tar.gz Is that a version with minor revisions included? Regards, mj

Can't install Net::Z3950::ZOOM in Ubuntu

Hi, I installed the latest Ubuntu package today and followed this tutorial: http://www.blazingmoon.org/guides/k3-on-u810-1.html I think pretty much all went well and that I found this error when visiting the Koha instranet: Koha error The following fatal error has occurred: Can't locate ZOOM.pm in @INC (@INC contains: /usr/share/koha/lib /etc/perl /usr/local/lib/perl/5.10.0 /usr/local/share/perl/5.10.0 /usr/lib/perl5 /usr/share/perl5 /usr/lib/perl/5.10 /usr/share/perl/5.10 /usr/local/lib/site_perl .) at /usr/share/koha/lib/C4/Context.pm line 84. BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /usr/share/koha/lib/C4/Context.pm line 84. Compilation failed in require at /usr/share/koha/lib/C4/Output.pm line 30. I think this may be becuase I just can't seem to install this 'Net::Z3950::ZOOM' which seems to be the only think not installing. When I try to install it I get the error message: "libnet-z3950-zoom-perl: Depends: libyaz3 but it is not going to be installed" When I try to install libyaz3 I get the following error message: "libyaz3: Depends: libgnutls13 (>=1.4.0-0) but it is not installable Depends: libicu36 but it is not installable" A kind fellow on the IRC chat channel provided me with .deb links to the above 'uninstallable' packages. The libicu36 one seemed to install fine (although cannot be found in the synaptic package manager. libicu38 is installed however). The libgnutls13 however did not. (Error: dependency is not satifiable: libopencdk10). What on earth am I to do? Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Emits

A question about Accessibility

One of our biggest concerns is that can KOHA, or will it in the near future, be accessible to visually impaired folks??? Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated.
