Zebra Server Config
by Roche III, Edward 24 Mar '09

24 Mar '09

At some point before we go to production I will be configuring Koha to use zebra. I know during the Koha install it says you will need to config the zebra server after the install is completed. I have never dealt with a zebra server so I have no idea where to start. So my question, does anyone have instructions on how to do this? I am using Ubuntu 8.10. Thanks Ed Edward J. Using Koha 3.0.0 on Linux. We had trouble with a failed file - you sent us some advice to use gedit, and we recovered this file. Unfortunately, another problem has arisen - cannot log into "kohadbuser" because of too many authentication failures - the exact message reads "Access denied for 127.0.0.1. The host has been blocked because of too many authentication failures." Also cannot log into kohaadmin. "" WE CAN LOG INTO KOHADMIN. Apologies for this wrong information - Caramel"" The question is how can we retrieve the passwords? At the same time we can't log into the local hosts. I hope this is not too many problems for you to solve... Thanks heaps Carmel Young Catholic University Malawi

Which item tag in Unimarc setup
by Zeno Tajoli 24 Mar '09

24 Mar '09

Hi to all, for test I need to setup Koha with Unimarc and insert data in a bulk mode. No problem with biblographic data but, for Unimarc, is not clear where to insert item informations. For MARC21 the manual is clear: item data into tag 952 <https://sites.google.com/a/liblime.com/koha-manual/Home/Table-of-Contents/C…> But the Unimarc definitions in english (.../installer/data/mysql/en/marcflavour/unimarc/mandatory/unimarc_framework_DEFAULT.sql) and in french ( .../installer/data/mysql/fr-FR/marcflavour/unimarc_complet/Obligatoire/framework_DEFAULT.sql) in stable version 3.0.1 don't have the tag 952. So, do I need to use a different tag for Unimarc ? Adding new item type icons
by Paul Yachnes 23 Mar '09

23 Mar '09

How do I add new item type icons to my selection in Koha 3.0.1? In Koha 3.0, all I had to do was add a new folder of icons to the itemtypeimg folder and they would show up under a separate section on the Add Item Type and Modify Item Type pages. In 3.0.1 where there is a separate tab on these pages for each folder of icons, no tab appears for my new folder. What else do I need to do? Thanks. Paul

Installer not creating database tables

Hi Everyone, I just setup Koha on a Gentoo machine running Apache 2.2.10 / mod_perl 2.0.3-r2 / Perl 5.8.8-r5 / MySQL 5.0 plus all the CPAN modules reported by Makefile.PL When I access the intranet URL to finish the setup, I am redirected to the install script and see: > production mode - trapped fatal error > /var/log/koha/koha-error_log says: [Wed Mar 11 14:10:17 2009] [error] [client 170.235.0.111] [Wed Mar 11 > 14:10:17 2009] install.pl: DBD::mysql::st execute failed: Table > 'koha.language_subtag_registry' doesn't exist at > /usr/share/koha/lib/C4/Languages.pm line 178. > [Wed Mar 11 14:10:17 2009] [error] [client 170.235.0.111] [Wed Mar 11 > 14:10:17 2009] install.pl: DBD::mysql::st fetchrow_hashref failed: fetch() > without execute() at /usr/share/koha/lib/C4/Languages.pm line 179. > [Wed Mar 11 14:10:17 2009] [error] [client 170.235.0.111] [Wed Mar 11 > 14:10:17 2009] install.pl: DBD::mysql::db selectrow_array failed: Table > 'koha.systempreferences' doesn't exist at /usr/share/koha/lib/C4/Context.pm > line 479. > [Wed Mar 11 14:10:17 2009] [error] [client 170.235.0.111] [Wed Mar 11 > 14:10:17 2009] install.pl: Use of uninitialized value in string eq at > /usr/share/koha/lib/C4/Context.pm line 45. > [Wed Mar 11 14:10:17 2009] [error] [client 170.235.0.111] [Wed Mar 11 > 14:10:17 2009] install.pl: Use of uninitialized value in string eq at > /usr/share/koha/lib/C4/Context.pm line 45. > [Wed Mar 11 14:10:17 2009] [error] [client 170.235.0.111] [Wed Mar 11 > 14:10:17 2009] install.pl: Can't call method "id" on an undefined value at > InstallAuth.pm line 278. > The installer is not creating any tables in the MySQL database. I used all default values for Makefile.PL except for the DB specifics and have confirmed the configuration by copying and pasting the DB values from /etc/koha/koha-conf.xml into the command line mysql client and was able to create and manipulate tables just fine. The fact that I am seeing table doesn't exist errors instead of access denied tells me that it is connecting to MySQL alright. Where could I begin trying to debug this?
