"Problem sending cart..."
by Chris Morrison 11 Nov '09

11 Nov '09

All, We are running Koha 3.0, and everything pretty much works like it should. One issue we are having, though, is that users cannot email in their shopping carts. We get an error messaging saying "Problem sending cart..." I don't see anything in the system preferences that relates to the cart, and the only place where it asks for an email address is filled in. Any thoughts as to how to fix the problem? Thanks Chris Morrison Bertha Smith Library Luther Rice Seminary and University Lithonia, GA 30038

Barcodes on Label Batches
by Davita Janto 11 Nov '09

11 Nov '09

Hi We are testing printing label batches with barcodes from Koha 3.0.3. The barcodes printed on PDF are always outside the guide boxes and changing the fonts on the templates as suggested doesn't make any difference, it only changes the size of the biblio. Have tried different templates settings and different layouts settings and the barcodes seem to stay the same and they look oversize. See attached for sample in PDF. Anyone had this problem or any suggestions? Thanks. Davita. __________________________________________________________________________________ Get more done like never before with Yahoo!7 Mail. Koha pre-conference session at Code4Lib 2010?
by Walls, Ian 11 Nov '09

11 Nov '09

For any members of the Koha community who are going to Code4Lib 2010 in Asheville, North Carolina: What would you all think of holding a Koha pre-session? I attended one last year that was very helpful, and would love the chance to get together with fellow users and developers again this year. The session could be a structure overview, a hackfest, a best-practices seminar or anything else we desire. If you haven't any experience with Code4Lib, I recommend you check it out at http://code4lib.org. Cheers, Ian Walls Systems Integration Librarian NYU Health Sciences Libraries 550 First Ave., New York, NY 10016 (212) 263-8687 -----Original Message----- From: Code for Libraries [mailto:CODE4LIB@LISTSERV.ND.EDU] On Behalf Of Kevin S. Clarke Sent: Monday, November 09, 2009 9:55 PM To: CODE4LIB(a)LISTSERV.ND.EDU Subject: [CODE4LIB] preconference proposals Hi all, It's time again to collect proposals for Code4Lib 2010 preconference sessions. We have space for six full day sessions (or 12 half day sessions (or some combination of the two)). If we get more than we can accommodate, we'll vote... but I don't think we will (take that as a challenge to propose lots of interesting preconference sessions). Like last year, attendees will pay $12.50 for a half day or $25 for the whole day. The preconference space will be in the hotel so we'll have wireless available. If you have a preconference idea, send it to this list, to me, or to the code4libcon planning list. We'll put them up on the wiki once we start receiving them. Some possible ideas? A Drupal in libraries session? LOD part two? An OCLC webservices hackathon? Send the proposals along... H Thank you. I have a feeling there's a link I'm not making correctly-but I'm not sure what it is. In MarcEdit, I've named the field where I have the full call number 952$o and my Permanent Location 952$a. Problem with editing Cost, Normal purchase price
by Vimal Kumar 11 Nov '09

11 Nov '09

Dear Friends, I noticed a problem while editing item information of any document in Koha 3.03 and 3.04. Cost or Normal Purchase price (MARC Tag 952 g) of documents saving to database when creating a new record and item information. Purchase price shows 0.00 when we try to save any documents item information after editing existing data. Old price in item information disappearing and 0.00 shows (in 952 g field) in item information. I hope that, Koha users already noticed this problem. How can we solve this ? -- Vimal Kumar V. Asst. Hello, I have set a global due date in KOHA since we are approaching end of the semester. However, it's not coming through. The item due date is still in place. Can anyone help me where I can have gone wrong? I have checked that the date system we use (us) are set and the date is set according to that. ++++++++++++++++++++++++ Anna Kågedal Kodaikanal International School Seven Roads Junction Kodaikanal 624101 Tamil Nadu, India home phone: +914542247269 cell phone: +919994535493 http://boxofbarfi.blogspot.com http://twitter.com/kislibrarian
