No need for particular skills, just basic Koha usage. You can come an leave at any moment, even for a short time it's possible to get simple stuff moving forward. We will use a VoIP call with chat tool to speak and eventually screenshare. It's possible to join without sound and only use chat. So if you are at the front desk and there are not much patrons you can still test patches ^^ And also it's easier if you aren't comfortable with oral english. No need to have a local Koha instance. Just with a web browser we can use the sandboxes [1] to have temporary Kohas to test most of patches and do whatever we want without bad consequences. Transportation between Kansas City Airport and Lawrence, Kansas

On behalf of the koha-US Conference Committee: For those of you flying to Lawrence to attend KohaCon22, if you would like a ride from the Kansas City Airport to Lawrence when you arrive or from Lawrence back to the Kansas City Airport when you're ready to leave, Northeast Kansas Library System is trying to arrange rides. Annoucement: KohaCon23 to be held in Helsinki, Finland

Hello everyone! In the IRC General Meeting held today, the proposal for KohaCon23 from the National Library of Finland was accepted unanimously by all present. The conference will be open to in-person and online participation. The target date is August 2023, but more information will be available in the coming months. Permanent loans best practices

Hi, we'd like to set up the possibility of permanent loans for some borrower types (categories). Our idea is to set the due date to a date far in the future (e.g. 2099), or to 99 years. Is this a good solution, or does Koha provide a better one? Has anybody experiences or ideas to share on this topic? Link field authority

Good, I created a new field MARC 697 – local subjectc I also created a “local subjectc” authority type and then linked it to field MARC 697. I imported some records and authorities with the information into the appropriate fields. I ran the misc/link_bibs_to_authorities.pl script to link the authorities with the records information. Fields 650, 100, etc. were linked normally, but field 697 was not linked. Is this a bug in the system? Is Koha not linking newly created MARCS fields?

SMTP on Office 365 Email

Dear Koha Team, Is office 365 Email working with KOHA SMTP settings? I have tried my email by adding an SMTP server. But it's not working. DBMS auto increment fix not working

Hi In our library we are using Debian 11 with MariaDB 10.5.15 and Koha 21.05.14. When deleting bibliographic records in the staff client, some deletions produce the message: "An error has occurred! Error 500 / This message may have been caused by any of the following reasons: etc." In such cases Koha menu "About Koha > System information" shows the message aubout data problems, saying Some of your tables have problems with their auto_increment values which may lead to data loss. You should not ignore this warning. The problem is that InnoDB does not keep auto_increment across SQL server restarts (it is only set in memory). So on server startup the auto_increment values are set to max(table.id)+1. To know how to avoid this problem see the related wiki page: DBMS auto increment fix According to https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/DBMS_auto_increment_fix the problem shouldn't appear with MariaDB 10.5.15 but as a trial we have implemented the solution described there and have restarted everything - still the problem persists. In such cases file "plack-error.log" shows the following: {UNKNOWN}: DBI Exception: DBD::mysql::db do failed: Duplicate entry '6187-marcxml-MARC21' for key 'deletedbiblio_metadata_uniq_key' [for Statement " INSERT INTO deletedbiblio_metadata (biblionumber, format, `schema`, metadata) SELECT biblionumber, format, `schema`, metadata FROM biblio_metadata WHERE biblionumber=? "] at /usr/share/koha/lib/C4/Biblio.pm line 2907 I suspect this behavior indeed looks like the original auto_increment problem described in bugs 18242, 18651, 18966, 19106 and 20271 but the reason may in fact not be the same since the described problem shouldn't appear at all in MariaDB 10.5.15.
